Poulin20
You and me both...I ate the cost of my tickets and went to see my son play his Mites game instead. Although the result was similar I still had more fun than I would have had I gone down there.

I admire your faith and optimism but the reality is that the team stinks. As for the future, who knows if - or when - the turnaround will occur. We might very well be hockey's version of the Cleveland Browns: we suck, acquire a top draft pick, suck again, rinse and repeat. It looks like Hextall and Co might not have a clue how to judge talent. Let's not forget that LA drafted Doughty and Brown before Lombardi and Hextall were there. Think about that, let that sink in! Having a lot of draft picks means nothing if you can't pick wisely and then develop those prospects. The jury is still out if the Flyers have that ability: Morgan Frost and Carter Hart have been terrific this year and show immense promise. But it is still "promise." Nolan Patrick might be JVR all over again. His turnover against the Bruins was ghastly and showed a very low hockey IQ. Who knows what his future holds but I think he is in way over his head right now. Sanheim has potential...to be decent or a bust. Who knows. The fact that Morin is still stuck in the AHL has to make you wonder. Rubstov has the toughness of an an egg - he in an injury waiting to happen. Lindblom has been underwhelming. Labarge is a BUST. I admire your optimism, I just don't share it. Let's not forget that LA drafted Doughty and Brown before Lombardi and Hextall were there. Think about that, let that sink in! Sure easy to say right now. 10 game losing streak. Hard to defend that. But let's remember your past does not dictate your future. Unless you let it. 5 minutes ago, caluso said: We might very well be hockey's version of the Cleveland Browns Now that is just way to harsh there bro. Not even close. 8 minutes ago, caluso said: Doughty No they drafted Doughty. Brown, Kopitar and Quick were there before they got there. 10 minutes ago, caluso said: Nolan Patrick might be JVR all over again. You seem to be on the negative side ok. Free country. Still way too early to call anything on these guys. These guys you are mentioning aren't even 22 yet......but they are bust??
