Seattle Shoe? Nah. I can see the logo now ....

Seattle Slew? Nah that was a race horse.

Seattle Secondary? Nah has second place feel to it

Seattle Sounders Nah rhymes with flounders and sounds vaguely familiar.

I'll have to do some more thinking ...

This was mentioned last year on another thread here, but I will repeat because I think it's a damned good idea! :)

How about:

The Seattle Kraken.

The overkill 'stripey' sweater is pretty awful, but the others are pretty cool.

Plus, when the team takes the ice, they could have them skate through some giant tentacles (like the Sharks in SJ skating through the shark mouth), with good ol Liam Neeson and THIS sound byte as they come out:

Let's say Seattle does get that expansion team 3 or 4 seasons from now.... the NHL will somehow have to re-align the divisions again, no?

I mean, if the divisions are left as is, the Conferences may each have 16 teams apiece, but Seattle would be a Pacific time zone team...to be added to the .....errrr, Pacific Division? For a total of 9 teams there, leaving the Central with 7?

You can't really move a current Pacific team to the Central without upsetting the time zone thing...and putting Seattle in the Central doesn't make sense either for the same reason.

Will be interesting to see how the NHL handles that part of it.

They could make 4  4 team division in each conference.
