BluPuk
It is so sad that the Leafs' great goaltender of their last Cup win has passed away. What a great pressure player he was. RIP Johnny....
flyercanuck
RIP "The China Wall"...great goalie and class act as a person. For those who don't know about him, well worth a read... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Bower
jammer2
Met him once at a hockey charity oldtimers event at Windsor Arena. One of the nicest guys I ever met. He was eager to talk hockey, but like many others report, he was interested in what I did for a living, family etc.....genuine, compassionate, humble....the first 3 words I would use to describe him. Johnny was sitting beside Red Kelley, and it was fun watching them banter back and forth....remember that time...ha ha...took on new meaning with those two. Felt blessed to meet him and see him interact with Red, very cool day. He will be missed, easily the most popular Leaf of all tme. City of TO will be in mourning for a while, and deservedly so, what a great...great man.
blocker
He played into his fifties. Seemed fearless. One of those athletes who is liked by the fans of opposing teams.
