There was a good point made that the Flyers forcing Detroit to hold half of Mrazek's salary, coupled with the move to activate Stolarz, might mean they're looking to add more (>$7mil in prorated space). They could have swallowed Mrazek's entire salary and given up a lower pick instead.

Yeah, it's weird that Detroit retained salary.  Just did not seem to be a need to do so.

I'm hoping he can steal a spot on the 2nd PP....it would help him stick if he can help get that thing going.

From what I read, looks like Patrick is up taking Simmonds' spot on PP1 and Lindblom is in fact slotting in on PP2.

I always liked Iggy too, he's gotta be better than some of the dead weight on the Flyers, what would it cost, not much I bet, and I think he could contribute ( more than some on the team now) imo

Highly unlikely (just dreaming) but he scored 9 goals in 19 games for the Kings last year at the end of last season.

I'm guessing he'd only go to a true Cup contender... Boston, Tampa, Vegas.

But if he wants to come here as a depth 3/4 line player? Sure, I'd sign him.

Yeah i am sure he would be a cheap addition and yes those teams could be attractive to him however just like in Philly he would be a bottom 6 forward so ya never know.

First he has to get back to game shape.

But he has to be signed by the time rosters are set.

I could see the Preds and Kings as a destination too.

But if he was to be signed by the Flyers...
