Game 57: NJ Devils at Flyers, 2/13/18 @ 7

Recommended Posts

Greetings:

We are installed as favorites in the game, even though our stats seem quite similar.  Schneider is out indefinitely.

David Hess' take sees this as momentum--we are on the way up, the Devils are heading south.  That said, NJ has taken 20 of the last 29 and Keith Kincaid (apparent starter) plays well against us, but Neuvy ain't too shabby--lifetime 2.13 GAA against the Devils.

This is a biggie for both franchises, especially the Devils, who are slumping.  I hope we add to the despair.

Huge game.  Devils have a game in hand.  Need to put some more distance between us and them.  This is also the last meeting between them, iirc.  Have to make the most of this game.

Devils will be treating this like a must-win, and so should the Flyers.

4-2 Flyers. Provorov, Patrick, Konecny, and Weal.

Just can't play down to their level ( even though they're on our heels ) we have to continue to play at the level we did in Vegas against every team here on out , they proved they can skate with the best of them just gotta do it, every shift, every game , you spoiled us with that game in Vegas now we expect that caliber of play,or something damn near close to it!   LET'S GO FLYERS

Really? Center Ice up in Canada always offers both feeds. The only exception is nationally televised games.

Flyers playing rather sloppy hockey. They need to pick up the pace in this one.

Freaking horrible effort last night.  Wasted all PP opportunities looking for a perfect pass to Giroux, seriously we need a plan B on the PP. Couturier was back to his coasting ways of previous years. Was Jake's brain even at the game?   This team is in trouble when Gudas is the only player on the ice who really wants the 2 points.  Speaking of 2 points I can't believe we even gave up 2 to those stinking Devils.

As somebody who watched the Devils once lose 18 straight shootouts, I feel your pain.

And the reality is that our goaltending is more responsible for losses than our shooters.
