Pucked in the head
Thank freaking the hockey gods for that, that was a disaster of a trade , the amount they paid for that punk! The big E. The big puss E!

RonJeremy
As far as the Lindros trade went, had we picked Jagr instead of Ricci in the previous draft and kept Forsberg and all those assets instead of trading for eggshell head..imagine a first line of Forsberg Brindamour and Jagr.. Fair enough, but the truth is Lindros was clear an away the best prospect in hockey since Lemieux. Someone was going to pay whatever it took to get him, and it happened to be us. Also, it would be easy to argue the point that Lindros in his prime was better than all those other guys (even Jags). His ability to take over a game and win on his skill alone is something very few in the history of the game can hold a candle to. To add to that: Lindros is the reason why many of us non-Americans are Flyers fans. That type of legacy is obviously harder to quantify, but the fact is he was such a gamechanger that he put the city on the map for many fans who are not from that corner of the continent. RonJeremy
@elmatus Lindros was potentially gonna be the next big star since Mario Lemeiux, but he couldn't stay healthy. He did have some dominating games but there were far too many times when he was just not a factor at all. I can remember like yesterday whenever he went up against physical dmen like Stevens, Jovonoski, Kaspereutis and Pilon he was completely shutdown. Of course back then , a bear hug and blatant holding were never called . In today's NHL, Lindros would be unstoppable In hindsight I think we would have won the cup had we kept Forseberg and drafted Jagr and all those assets ..but a lack of quality defenseman and poor goaltending is the main reason we haven't won since 75..other than Hexys 87 season he was mediocre and all the rest were horrible, except Bob, who we traded.
