So because video review wasn't allowed the Canadians won the game however everyone knows they did not win it in regulation.  Team USA won yet the officials call on the ice was a good goal.

Thus my question is why does team Canada play the next game for a championship knowing they shouldn't be there, that team USA won?  Has a team ever refused to play for a medal they know they don't deserve to play for before?

Are you serious?

Look, The US team got burned there, there's no doubt. But they, along with every other team signed off on the no video review. The officials made the call, goal, not Team Canada. Since there's no review, the play stands. That's the rule. So by the rule, Canada won. Or actually, tied. They won it in OT. The US had every chance to do the same.

It's not like Canada hasn't been burned on bad calls before. They happen.

Refuse to play? There's not a kid in hockey that would do that. Bad calls happen. You don't quit over them.

And full marks to the US captain who didn't blame the refs.

That does not mean the rest of have to think that it was ok :notfair:........Well I am pretty sure that you won't find a better case for instituting replay. As far as a the team not playing even though they know they don't belong, that part I don't agree with. It was not the team that made the horrendous call, it was the officiating. Every single person on these teams(all of them) are here because of their love for the game. Not the first time in hockey history where poor officiating has given the wrong team the win either.
