Jason Pomminville being honored in Buffalo for making to the 1000 game milestone.
Congrats to him.

He is a far cry from the offensive player he once was, but he still makes a good defensive type player, good on the PK, and is definitely a vet the young players can learn from.

Oh, Pominville's 1000th game. Obviously a number to admire him for but... IDK, not my favorite player.

Not one of my favorites either, but when he DID play well with the Wild, I could get on the bandwagon.
Unfortunately, after just one good season for Minnesota, he began showing signs the game has just gotten too fast for him.

But like I said, he still has value as a defensive specialist.

@TropicalFruitGirl26 You're probably right but he hurt the Wild for a couple of seasons... which still kind of pisses me off. But he's a nice guy and I wish him all the best!

Yea, the Wild put a lot of stock into him when they first acquired him, but to be honest, he is symbolic of the types of players Minnesota has acquired over the last few years for playoff runs:  Guys who have performed in the past, but were questionable at best to continue doing so.

I sorta blame Wild management and scouting more than Pominville for his lack of sustained contributions to the team.
Organization should have seen that it was a big risk they were taking with the player to begin with.

That said, I am just happy Minnesota was able to get out from under his contract...albeit they had to take Tyler Ennis (ugh!) to do so...

Should be an interesting game, Sens showed signs of not being able to play a full game in the third two days ago, though their good start and Anderson's keeping kept the win for them.

Sens are really piling on the minutes on Anderson, eh?
I mean, has the backup seen ANY action so far? Who the hell IS the backup anyways? lol

Condon, he's the one who let in the goal shot from the other team's blue line two games ago. I think he's only done two games

Just looked up the Sens roster...they have a Mike McKenna listed as the backup to Craig Anderson tonight.

Ahh, so they did send him back to the AHL. Last I heard he was on waivers

And I'm on Sabres' side on this one since they've had so many crappy seasons lately.

I have no dog in this fight...not even for Fantasy hockey....however, I AM interested in how a couple players are going to do...

Buffalo--- Rasmus Dahlin (D) and Linus Ullmark (G)

Ottawa-- Chris Tierney (C) and Thomas Chabot (D)

He might end up between the pipes if Anderson follows this route...

NOBODY on the Wild crashed the net.... Pominnville wasn't about to break ranks... :shifty:

Well yeah... but I can't point out the rest of the slobs since they're not here now, can I? 😁
