2019 World Junior Hockey Championship

  I know it's a bit early but I had time to start a thread so what the heck...

 

 This years tournament is being held in Vancouver and Victoria in beautiful British Columbia. Canada will defend it's gold with a deep (as usual) pool of talent that extends right through forwards, defence and goal. 

 

 Pool A will consist of Canada/Czech Rep/Russia/Switzerland and Denmark.

 Pool B will consist of Sweden/USA/Finland/Slovakia/Kazakhstan...yes Kazakhstan.

 There will be no "gimmick" games.

 

 Key players for Canada could be Dipietro or Scott (my choice for best goaltender,  either) Glass/Formenton/Vilardi/Frost/Hayton/future (2020)1st overall Lafreniere/Bouchard/Dobson etc. Coach Tim (Handsome) Hunter calls this the fastest WJ team he's seen.

 

 The US may well have the top forward in Jack Hughes (though Kravtsov might have something to say, along with a bunch of Canucks) and look fairly deep at D. Their goaltending is solid.

 

 I'll take a guess and say Canada repeats at gold with the US taking silver and Finland bronze.

Are those inches or feet beside the flatscreen dimensions? Because if they're inches, I'll be greatly disappointed.

I do believe Buffalo has it again in 2020 unless I am wrong about the year?  I know they have been awarded another one.   I went to the Gold medal game when Russia won there.  Up in the freakin nosebleeds.

I think 2020 is in the Czech Republic. The US doesn't draw so well...unless hordes of Canadians storm the border. Then it's back in Canuckistan...Red Deer and Edmonton.

Ok, understood. I wasn't trying to mow your grass, I was just saying that I envision Glass and Hughes matched up head to head for the entire game if and when they meet up.

Where can I find full team rosters for ALL participants? Or are they all not finalized yet?

I checked the IIFH's website, and they have a section for it, but says "no rosters to display".

Want to know if any TB or Min prospects will be in them and what games I should try and watch if I want to see them play.

The Hextall regime sends the most players of any NHL team to to the WJHC for the 3rd time in 4 years with 7 players. They had the 2nd most in 2014...6 to Nashvilles 7.

Jack Hughes - (Team USA)  - expected to to be drafted #1 in June

Kaapo Kakko - (Team Finland) - many think he will be drafted #2 in June, he currently is on pace to surpass Patrick Laine's record.

Vasili Podkolzin - (Team Russia) - this winger has a similar size and his game models that of Alex Ovechkin

Samuel Fagemo - (Team Sweden) - this forward was undrafted in last years draft now plays on Frolunda's top line .

Valentin Nussbaumer - (Team Switzerland) - a speedy center with great feet, vision and hands, currently plays in the QJMHL.  

Brett Leason - (Team Canada) - This 6'4" 200lb overage center has good skills along the boards and in front of the net.

Philip Broberg - (Team Sweden) - This 6'4" 17 year old defenseman is a point per game player this season with great skating skills.

Ville Heinola - (Team Finland) - a smart all around d-man with good speed.

I was going to mention Lafreniere and Anton Lundell (C/LW) from Finland as 2020 draft eligible at the end of my post, but got sidetracked.  lol.
