Greetings:

We are the underdog:

But that may not matter much given how we play and our poor performance over the last five games.  It looks like Lyon and Stolarz will be our duo in goal.

Just looking at Patrick's game log.

2 points in his first 8 games.

6 points in 4 games (West coast trip)

2 points in the last 14 games.

Lindblom -

2 points in hist first 11 games.

7 points in 5 games (West coast trip)

2 points in his last 13 games.

Isn't right around the end of the first West Coast trip that Hak split up Lindblom and Patrick?

Had tickets for tonight's game and I gave them up. I think I'm just going to go out on my outdoor rink with my kids tonight.

Smart man there has to be something better to do...has to be...

Good opportunity for the Flyers tonight. Due to injury, the Oilers defense is Darnell Nurse, Adam Larsson, 3 cardboard cut-outs in the shape of NHL players, and Stretch Armstrong.

Hitch will out coach the Flyers so bad. Last change for the Oilers tonight. Mcdavid will get 25-26 minutes tonight.

We'll be the brakes off you....till 2 minutes are left and then you will score the tying goal followed by the winning goal to take both points.

Oilers 5

Flyers 4

Under different circumstances, Stolarz/Lyon as duo might have made sense. Maybe if they had more experience...or if the team around them was playing well.  Right now...a sad commentary on management, team, coaching....

Well the only way for them to get more experience is to pla them.

Looks like their opportunity is now.

Elliott being sent back for a doctor appointment was his reason but still a strange and not encouraging reason.

Caleb Jones (Seth's younger brother) makes his NHL debut tonight. His AHL coaches say that he's really to defend, but there's one big thing that brings him to the league. Speed. You can’t teach it, it doesn’t go into slumps and it is useful on offense and defense. Jones has it.

A four minute PP and we look so passive.  Other than Giroux, who has real creativity on this squad?  Stolarz just stopped a potential shortie.  Ugh.

4 minutes and they got 4 shots on goal.

I'm sorry embarrassed for this sad sack of players.

What is wrong with this club?
