My gut says Hextall made Homer look bad or talked back or insulted Homer somehow in a meeting in front of Scott & Co.

Mine tells me Hextall told Scott to **** off and that was it.

Homer didn't do diddly/poo while Hextall was rebuilding, we didn't hear peep one. Why would Hextall make him look bad in front of non-hockey guys ?

Doesn't fit with Hextall's character.

The odds of Hextall telling Homer ( a hockey manb) to pound sand are minuscule when compared to  the odd of telling Scott (corporate douche) he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I agree it was a personal clash that brought about the end so abruptly.   I just think Dave Scott is the problem not Holmgren.

I'm really looking forward to trading some talent for 4-5 games of playoff hockey!

I am too as long as it is Weise, Weal, Ol Macdonald, Neuvy and the bunch i'm all good....teams will be lined up for miles like it's black friday all over again...

What do not my friend underestimate the powers of good popcorn in the locker room between periods...those guys have all the handed down secret of the infamous Umberger and Lecavalier craft.....that brings great value to a team they can carry well into the playoffs!

Yes, but comcast has the moneys.

If cable town wants it, cable town gets it.

Yeah, there's no cap on paying coaches, so this isn't really a worry.

Aren't they usually paying half a dozen former coaches at any given time anyway? 👺

Not to mention players they're paying NOT to play.

Yes, but this part is quite the hook:

Quote

“He will be very expensive,” Kypreos said. “Teams can offset this season and next season in their contract negotiations but you will have to add another three or possibly four years to a contract extension and that could run you anywhere between $15-20 million.”

Pocket change.

Yeah, Comcast has $10.62B cash on hand and a market cap of $157.5B.

$15-20M for 3-4 years is a rounding error for them.

At 1% interest on their cash on hand they pay off $15M in 51.5 days.
