Hextall should have traded Simmer this summer while there was still a shadow of a doubt he might be able to play and actually be useful. The good news on him, worst case scenario is they can just walk away from him if they can't move him after this year. However there is still the issue of Mcdud and Weise who I might consider one if not both to the buyout options. Not so much for the capspace maybe but just so you can free up the contracts. With so many kids coming in next year from juniors and college you may need the contract space can't say for sure I haven't glance at where they are in that area right now. We just don't have talent necessary for winning against the league's best. We beat these folks in a goalie show last time. That may be the only way we win...a superb goalie performance. mkscrewy Posted January 2, 2019 Share Posted January 2, 2019 it's hard to win even with a superb goalie when you don't score any goals. i didn't see a remarkable amount of effort last night. i did see a lot of fluttered shots from the perimeter either at Saros's chest or wide of the goal that led to loss of possession and the puck immediately going the opposite direction. I'm not saying that Rinaldo adds any value to the preds, but I think it's funny how an elite team in the league will give him playing time, yet the entire flyer fanbase thought hextall was a God for getting rid of him.
