The Wild are coming off a win where they played fairly sloppy but still managed to eek out the victory against a horrendous Ottawa team. Montreal is coming off a loss and they're in a place like the Wild where if they really want to crawl back into the playoff hunt they need every point they can get. I fully expect to see Price as opposed to Niemi, who we shredded the last time these two teams played. I think the Wild match up fairly well against the Habs but I could see this team overlooking this one and thinking more about the Bruins. Enjoy and discuss... ClusterChuck
Maybe this train ride will remind some how fortunate they are to get to the level they have achieved and also that they don't have to sit in rush hour traffic to get to work on a daily basis like many of the fan base. This time of the season I like to watch teams that have similar records and watch how they are succeeding and failing. Too much passing, Dump and chase, etc. Maybe we could have the NHL switch our remaining home games to the road No reason we can't pull off another trip like we did in the west a while back. wild.source
I think the Wild will also be looking forward to the Bruins game tomorrow. They should focus on tonight and not get to far ahead of themselves.

EmptyShelf
Wow! Match penalty is more than I thought he would get. Perhaps the officials are starting to call some of the cheap shot checks more by the book. Like that Seeler will always jump on someone for he cheap $hit. MNSOTA
Per the boxscore, it's just a game misconduct, not a match penalty.
TropicalFruitGirl26
I really am trying to stay positive as much as I can about this team... But penalties like Brodin's delay of game drive me absolutely Jeffrey Dahmer....FIRE UP THE GRILL!!

TropicalFruitGirl26
And you know, Montreal has had an ok season so far. I seriously have been expecting this team's wheels to just fall right off...and their GM Marc Bergevin right with it....but no, they are hanging in there. Decent mix of skilled forwards with a mostly subpar defense that includes Weber whom they just recently got back (he is good obviously) and Jeff Petry, who is having a good year too....but its mostly a team that a Wild team, with its best players should make mince meat out of...even WITH Price (who has had an even season so far) in net. Reminds me of our trip with the mrs to Italy this new year, man I chugged a lot of wine over there. Just a tip, if anyone plans to go there, try to visit the places outside the major cities. The countryside is a great experience.

I want to go back to Austria to hit up the Heuriger, or the wine taverns, where you drink the new wines (aka green wines) and eat Austrian pub fare. Only penalty dumber than the shooting the puck over the glass = delay of game penalty. If they're so worried about delaying the game, tell the doggone linesmen to not take ten minutes to execute a faceoff...
