But hey, we have to forgive these softies since he's an ALL-STAR and our offense isn't scoring enough...

As the announcers said last game... Dubnyk may have given up 4 goals but he had 2 really big saves!

But they didn't say the Wild gave up 4 goals and lost 4-1 to a weaker team.

Edm 4 - MN 1

Can I say that again? Edm 4 - MN 1

Typical

Rask is slow, not gonna make any headlines but neither was Nino with us.

But yeah, he is slow. No GM should give any big money to slow players, that's just not the way you win these days.

The problem with Nino is he needs guys shooting the puck on net instead of wasting countless hours, days, weeks, seasons looking for those pretty goals. When there's garbage around the net he's the type player to make them count.

And one thing the Wild detest are garbage goals. They're perfectly content losing games as long as they bag a few pretty goals along the way.

Big weekend for the Wild.  Possibly the tipping point on what this organization decides to do.  New Jersey is sending win-less Corey Schneider against Minnesota today.  They must be feeling lucky...

Any losing team against the Wild are at an advantage. The league knows this.

Gabriel vs. Foligno - a hugging contest.

Heh...

Gabriel trying to "pick his team up", but the couldn't do that sort of thing by fighting with the Wild, certainly not gonna do it against them, Foligno probably knew this, figures, screw it, lemme give him a clinch, refs come in, life moves on, we are ahead.

Nice humoring by Foligno, let Gabriel save a bit of face, but nothin doing either way.  :)

Foligno's Gordie Howe Hat Trick Leads Wild to 4-2 Win over New Jersey

Decent comeback after giving up the early goal.  Eriksson Ek, Kunin and Foligno were the ones that got it started and put the team on their back to earn a win this afternoon.  I also liked how well the Parise, Coyle, Granlund line played together.  The other lines were mostly MIA.  Big win, but we'll see if they can follow it up with another tomorrow against a much better opponent in the Islanders.  Full game recap, an Iowa Wild report and prospect updates too.  Check it out!

Good work done by some of the "Baby Wild" (EEK and Kunin) and it helps the team win an important game, banking two points as a few of their pursuers fall to other teams in other games this afternoon.

Overall though, good team effort by all.

At this stage, don't matter the opponent, how good, how bad they are....just get the wins, just get the points.

Minnesota did that today.

On to the NY Islanders
