OccamsRazor
I guess this is a good place to put anything that has to do with the start of the season. From camp to whatever else anyone wants to deem important to place here till we have an actual game thread. So rookies and kids report on the 7th even many of the vets have been skating together for a while. This looks like a helluva stack group coming in i can't ever remember the depth being this deep. Just sick. Just stacked. I'm ready to get this thing going. Let's get this thing started....
CoachX
As has been stated many other places, they have to get off to a fast start. Another year of coming out lazy and trying to play catch up will just undo all the work thats been done to get here I would really like to see one of the kids snag that 3rd RW spot (not NAK)
OccamsRazor
I wonder if one of the kid invites has a chance to earn a contract like Myers and Zamula did??? Soon to find out....let get that puck dropped already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will they sign Wyatt Wylie or let him play another year of junior. I'd sign him and let him add some depth to the Phantoms. I will toss a hat in the ring and say Mika Cyr earns a entry level contract......

I had to look him up. What interests you? He's a leader by the looks of it. I assume at 5'9" ~170 he can skate and/or dangle?

From what i have been reading he can play all 3 forward spot and isn't afraid to go into the corners despite his size. Like to play away from the puck and he can score. Sounds like the lunch pail type who might come in and prove folks wrong because he is small. Over came a major knee injury and had a solid year with a point per game while being a 5-9 small forward. Tells me he has heart. He more than likely only becomes a career AHLer...but i guess because i not so sure about the other guys. So i will just say a gut feeling (maybe i am just really hungry)....i have to pull for mighty mouse.

brelic
In a Provy-free world, I’d like to see Sanheim/Niskanen Ghost/Myers Morin/Braun I think that balances out youth and experience, especially in Morin’s case. And in a TK-free world, up front - G/Coots/Lindblom JVR/Hayes/Voracek Laughton/Patrick/Farabee Raffl/Rubtsov/Pitlick or Stewart or Andreoff or NAK I know our guys will eventually sign, but I’ve mentally moved on from them lol. OccamsRazor
Bill Meltzer @billmeltzer The top line, not surprisingly is the Farabee, Frost, Ratcliffe trio. Bill Meltzer @billmeltzer Mark Friedman had minor abdominal surgery, per Brent Flahr. Will not be in Rookie Camp but is skating and will be in main camp. OccamsRazor
Ratcliffe - Frost - Farabee sounds like a deadly line. Good news to hear Phil Myers has put on some more muscle...this time last year he was 202. Now he is up to 218. Wants to make the top 4 on the Flyers....it's doable. I wonder if i can get it on the NBCSports app. I'll try tonight. I'm sure i won't. It would be nice if they would just broadcast it on the Flyer website. AJgoal
Sorry, I meant to grab this tweet, but the phone was uncooperative. ETA: There's a bit of a contradiction here, since NBC Sports Plus is online, not TV. So if you have NBC sports plus access and can vpn into philly, you might be able to watch. OccamsRazor
I expect a better year from Strome with some better skating to fall back on. He should at least be up on the 3rd line by the time the season starts. Edited September 11, 2019 by OccamsRazor
OccamsRazor
Some good lines on these units. Zamula will be worth watching to see where he is at.
