That's where the goals are scored from, especially in the NHL, and especially the playoffs. I have heard that he has offensive mentality as players from the Old Red Army team, which is a rare advantage to have this prospect in our team. Alexandron
Our prospect Brennan Menell shined again for the Dinamo Minsk team, KHL today, who was the best player of the game. He registered 3 points(1 goal;2 assists) in that game against the Sibir team. Dinamo Minsk team won it with a score 6:0. So far he has in 15 played games 16 points (3 goals;13 assists; +/- + 9). No doubt, it is a very very solid start for our Minnesotan defenseman there as well as he is getting a pretty huge experience too. Alexandron
A nice article came up recently at Iowa Wild website regarding a defense and goaltending options at Iowa club. It seems defensive potential is looking pretty well, including inserting offensively minded 6'6" Fedor Gordeev. According to that article also, good news, that Minnesota extended a qualifying offer to Brennan Menell who is playing successfully now at KHL Dinamo Minsk team. Regarding to goalies, our second Iowa Wild goalie Mat Robson signed a contract with a Straubing Tigers team in Germany, which means 2 goalies (Baribeau and Jones ) will have an opportunity to play in AHL. Sadly their season will start kind of late on February 5th. Maybe before that start, the Traverse City Tournament will have a chance to take a place in December or January? Alexandron
So far the most productive among our prospects this season are Brennan Menell(KHL) - in 24 played games is having 21 points (3 goals;18 assists; +/- +11) and Alexander Khovanov(VHL) - in 14 played games is having 15 points (4 goals;11 assists; +/- +2). Our gigantic (6'9") defenseman prospect Stepan Falkovsky(KHL) placed a goal in the last win(4:2) of Dinamo Minsk team over the best KHL team SCKA. His stats in KHL this season - in 9 games 3 points(1 goal;2 assists;+/- +2). Present an interest that this defenseman had the best season last year in his career (ECHL) - in 46 played games he had 41 points (15 goals;26 assists; +/- +16). Alexandron
Just read a new article from hockeywilderness.com about our 4 prospects(3 forwards(Boldy, Nesterenko, McBain and 1 defenseman(Warren)) , which are playing for the Boston College team. They(all 3 forwards already having lots of points) during the first 4 games of the season. Last their win was with an impressive score 9:0. It seems that team is merit our special attention this season, because of so many our promising prospects are playing and building together chemistry there . Alexandron
How we can start a new topic 2020-2021 Iowa Wild and prospects and close this one? It is time for changes. New year is coming soon. Usually, managers or moderators did that for this topic before.
Alexandron
I will continue to write at this thread despite of the last day of 2020 year. Any way first of all. HAPPY NEW 2021 Year!!! to every Wild fan!!! if we still have them here. Hope, we will be able to enjoy of our team's play and will be able to find a treasure in our team in 2021 year like we found a Kevin Fiala's talent in 2020. Here is an an interesting video Becoming Wild: Kevin Fiala. Hope, you will enjoyed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKSA-wun3oI Brennan Menell, our defenseman (Dinamo Minsk, KHL) still impressing me with his production - in 31 played games having 24 points (5 goals; 19 assists; +/- +6). He is really offensively minded defenseman, which we need him in our main club as soon as possible, IMO. Hope , our Wild forum will be more active as soon as the new season finally will be able to start in about 2 weeks and hope also, that our manager TropicalFruitGirl27 will be able to start a new topic 2020-2021 Iowa Wild and Prospects and will close this one.
