All that time that Parise has been hanging out with Suter as the 'annoited' (where expectations do not apply to them), and the fawning CL has provided him IS the problem. His back is fine enough; he just learned how to coast from Suter (and how to cash a paycheck) and never had the kind of talent to do that in the first place. Staal was a star, a solid captain in the day, and is a veteran that gives his all when healthy.
