Don't let this be a trap game.

The Isles are up on Saturday....don't look past this game guys. Another test.

I guess Elliott will be well rested for the Isles.

Their record is deceiving...their last 10 they are 6-4-0. 5-4-0 at home this year.

Greetings:

We are fairly heavy favorites:

https://winnersandwhiners.com/games/nhl/11-15-2019/philadelphia-flyers-vs-ottawa-senators-prediction-8145/

Craig Anderson is between the pipes for the Sens. His record against us last year was 0-2 and GAA north of 3.0.  I agree with Occ that we can't rest on laurels.  Hopefully AV gets the gang motivated.

Based on past performance, AV is the type of coach who's teams play strong, consistent hockey. The Flyers are starting to shows signs that its working. I dont mean to suggest they wont ever lose (Im not a total idiot), but I expect a strong game against OTT

I looked at the stats and noticed Bobby Ryan has one frigging goal this and i know he isn't an X-Flyer or anything but he is a local guy up there so it's close enough....sooooooo please guys do not let this guy score his 2nd goal of the season on yall.

However if you win the game and Ryan was to be the only one to score well then i can live with it.

Just go win this game....this is the thing that shows us if they are a different team this year.

Years past the Flyers have always seemed to get up for the big teams....but NOT playing down to the level of competition to will show me they have changed.

Just win baby.

These are the two guys i want to see pick it up.

On paper these two have the skills to be one of the best duos in the NHL.

However this game isn't played on paper.

They have to go out there play within the game/assignments and communicate with their teammates eliminate mistakes and if they continue to do that the sky is the limit of how good these two can be for years to come.

It's one thing to say oh they just aren't talented and they have limited potential but that isn't the case with these two they are 6-5 and 6-4 very mobile guys with a very good knack for scoring but at the end of the day they have to go out there and just do the things the coaches expect from them to do.

If they do that this club has a serious chance of getting in the playoffs and pushing it deep towards the Cup.

Because their goal together is to push Ghost and Braun down the lineup and take their minutes. I think they can do it.

They do this and it will take a lot of pressure off of Ivan and Niskanen too. Not to mention their goalies would love it.

Meltzer says he saw 93, 28 and 49 together.

That could be really nice, Farabee back on his natural side. Also maybe this combo gets Jake going a little more -Farabee better be ready to shoot, he'll get some chances.

Jake's interview on spittin' chicklets was pretty funny, especially when he was talking about coming over from Czechoslovakia to play juniors in Canada.

I am very curious to see how the team does vs the Islanders.  Seems like that game was part 1 of a 2 game wake-up call.

I hope those lessons have been learned, taken to heart and  the team's adapted.

I can't say what the coaches are teaching these kids but why on that lucky chance was Samheim so high in the zone on the other side of his ice?

I'm pretty sure the coaches don't encourage that.

Myers left alone out front luckily they missed it.

They believed all the hype, or whatever you want to call it, that they were better than the Sens. Not the effort that I wanted to see tonight. Maybe they were looking ahead to the Islanders. Outshot Ottawa 27-19, but a meh game.

Thoughts:

1) Hart was good, Nillson was better.

2) The absence of a developing Nolan Patrick is hurting, especially if Hayes isn't producing.

3) I'm glad Pitlick scored; he's worked hard.

4) I agree with Clement and Bundy that AV's D first may lead to scoring draughts.

Tomorrow's game is more important after tonight's loss.
