MNSOTA wrote up the game preview.  I'm on the post-gamer.  Stalock will most likely be the starter tonight as Dubnyk is out attending a personal matter.  The Avalanche are dealing with a bunch of injuries, but they still have a lot of firepower on the roster.  It will be interesting to see if the Wild can follow up one of their better games of the season with this one against a rival at home.  Enjoy and discuss.

A very interesting test coming along. Even with some injuries the Avs can totally crush the Wild we saw at the start of this season. Do we see the team not capable of competing, or the team that has played better recently? I expect a loss here. Let's hope they prove me wrong.

Dumba out means more minutes to Hunt which is something the Wild fans should appreciate. By far the best quality-price-ratio of any Wild player at the moment.

I would agree with this.  Hunt has been great, and better that I expected in his own end so far (knock on wood).

Yeah, you holding breath 'till he exposes his inability to defend against the big forwards?

It doesn't have to be like that. He might be a genuine late bloomer, and there have been other d-men of his size not having trouble playing big minutes (Boyle, Rafalski, Timonen) and his skating is way above average.

I'd load him with big minutes, 20+, to see what he's made of. Could he fill a spot in the top2 pairings and replace one of the current d-men? Wouldn't you just love to include Suter in any of those trades suggestions people keep throwing in here...

I've never had an issue with Brad Hunt.  Heck, I wanted the Wild to sign him after he was a tryout out at prospect camp years ago.  I also wanted them to sign Matt Read out of that same prospect camp, but they did...just many years later.

The Wild have done a number of things I wanted...just later than I had hoped.

Well, we're without TV tonight. Game not on FS-WI tonight or on Saturday......and we're not allowed to watch the Altitude broadcast on Center Ice.

That’s just dumb. You’re paying to watch NHL games. Should be able to watch any game you want.

Was about to post about this.
Glad to see that.

Team, such as it is, certainly stands a better chance at a W with him in the lineup than not in the lineup.

Go Wild!
:wild:

Kind of wonder what caused him to get pulled in the third...
