I might actually get to watch this game other than following it via radio and Twitter as I've been forced to do the last few games. After squandering 2 points the last two games the Wild are going to see if they can earn a win over equally bad New Jersey. Kahkonen's first NHL start should be something to see. Even if we know Dubnyk likely returns to the team before Friday's game against Ottawa. Enjoy and discuss...

Hockey-78
A very interesting game. Two bottom feeders, Devils with a couple of high-end talents and the debut of KK. Hopefully the kid can hold his nerves.
lynxrattle
I sure hope KK shows some promise. It's somber enough to look at the Wild shackled to 11 and 20 for the next 5 years.

MNSOTA
Well we finally have a TV broadcast again. Anyway, I missed the 1st goal, as I had to go pick up some groceries that I ordered. Because I'm listening to the game via SiriusXM, I get the NJ feed. Wouldn't you know that one of their commercials is for a SPORTS BETTING BOOK. And people from Jersey wonder why we think they're all gambling addicts with mafia connections.
IllaZilla
So apparently you can play the puck with a high stick as long as there’s no stoppage in the offensive zone?

IllaZilla
Boudreau couldn’t challenge the high stick because it was at neutral ice. If it was in the offensive zone, then he had a complaint. Boudreau’s on the Competition Committee too. IllaZilla
Fun with numbers: I took a look at the OT losses this year. Biggest culprit on the ice? Not who you’d think. Spurgeon - 3 Kunin - 2 Parise - 2 Staal, Suter, Zuccarello, Eriksson-Ek, a few other guys - 1 I may go back and look at the OT’s over the last couple of seasons and see who else was in the ice for the GW goal just for giggles... But for whatever reason, Boudreau thinks he needs to defend in the OT. I think that’s a problem. It’s pond hockey. No one defends playing pond hockey. It’s attack, attack, attack.
