MNSOTA wrote up the game preview, I will be on the post-gamer this evening.  No Spurgeon, my guess is Nick Seeler gets put back in the lineup and they juggle a bit.  The Lightning aren't what they used to be.  Still talented, still fast...but its been a roller coaster of a year for them.  The Wild are confident, another big chance to keep climbing the ladder.  Enjoy and discuss!

This is a mentally very interesting game: an old slow team that should be losing games versus an up-to-date modern fast team that should be winning games. Both are right now doing exactly the opposite that the player material points to. Probably the reason behind this is on the mental side. Lemaire was a mentally strong coach and there is a heritage the Wild should strive to keep alive.

Can the Wild play back-to-back a game where the opponent outshoots and outplays them yet they stick together and grind a win? They need stupendous goaltending for starters.

I still have a hard time seeing NOW this roster, which essentially hasn't changed much from last years, has finally figured out how to play to compete and win, constantly.

The lightning play a bit of a dirty game, cernak recently coming of off suspension for elbowing sabres dahlin, giving him a concussion.

I really dislike how the lightning are and hope the wild play extra tough

14 minutes ago, Jimtown guy said:

I don’t follow Iowa like I should. What’s the story on Menell?

@CreaseAndAssist can probably speak better to Menell than I can, but he's a right shot. 23 games, 19 points, mostly assists.

I believe C&A said he was getting in Tim Army's doghouse for jawing at the referees and getting game misconducts (he's not a captain)...
