Howie58
Greetings: We are fairly heavy underdogs: https://www.oddsshark.com/nhl/philadelphia-st-louis-odds-january-15-2020-1162801 Playing against the defending Stanley Cup Champion should get the O and B motivated. It will be interesting to see who's in goal on our side. Edited January 14, 2020 by Howie58

CoachX
JVR still on PP.... at what point do they realize what we all know, this is a waste of time and total failure

Not to the Isles, those draft picks turned into Ilya Sorokin and the other traded to Bruins turned into Brandon Carlo....yikes makes it even worse. intheslot
Have to play Team ..d Stay out of the box pucks to the nets. Break out of this bad play on the road . Flyers....4 Blues....2. Go Flyers.
OccamsRazor
Nothing like trading out Farabee for Stewart. The gift that keeps on giving.

jammer2
There is no way Elliott beats Binnington in St.Louis! Flyers just dismal on the road...and against the best defensive team in the league. Only reason to leave JVR on the pp is to hope he goes on a hot streak and improve trading value? Meh...he doesn't have to. That's what his skaters are for! Besides...all Elliot has to do is stop pucks. If he can do that, it may frustrate some of the Blues who feel they "should beat Philadelphia", and could open the door for the Flyers to capitalize on the "vaunted Blues defense". TropicalFruitGirl26
Flyers playing a perfectly fine "boring road game" so far. Elliot seems to be tracking the puck well enough....and I've even seen some Flyer players go towards the net when one of their guys has the puck down low....and they seem to be beating Blues defenders to certain areas around the front of the net. Could bode well if they keep doing that.

TropicalFruitGirl26
PP goal St. Louis..... Justin Faulk left all alone for the easy shot. Philly did most everything right on that PK though...attacked the puck carrier, gave no time or space to shooters, but the obvious numbers game caught up with them and the Blues would always have someone open. Can't really blame Elliot on that one....not so sure even a guy like Hasek could have stopped Faulk just now.

Good chance Binns shuts them out...as soon as the Blues pp gets a few chances...the floodgates will open.

TropicalFruitGirl26
Blues defense has looked beatable today.. Flyers not giving up and just continue to take shots and go to the net. 2-1 score in their favor says they need to keep doing that the rest of the game. They need to have the lead going into the 3rd period. That is when the Blues physical game usually wears the opponent's will down. They aren't winning this one if they don't have the lead going into the 3rd. Edited January 16, 2020 by FD19372

He should hear from the league office for that. Should have been one penalty for the crosscheck, and another for the trip on Konecny. FD19372
This game should be 4-1, Flyers. That worries me a little going into the 3rd.
TropicalFruitGirl26
Konecny DID put his mitts up to Perron's face during that battle for the puck (could've gotten a penalty for that), but no excuse for Perron to go up high with both hands on his stick. Mitt to the face is one thing, graphite to the mush is something else...
