Greetings:

We are fairly heavy underdogs:

Playing against the defending Stanley Cup Champion should get the O and B motivated.  It will be interesting to see who's in goal on our side.

JVR still on PP.... at what point do they realize what we all know, this is a waste of time and total failure

Certainly not worth the contract, very much like Andrew MacDonald, but less useful.

There is no way Elliott beats Binnington in St.Louis! Flyers just dismal on the road...and against the best defensive team in the league.

Only reason to leave JVR on the pp is to hope he goes on a hot streak and improve trading value?

Meh...he doesn't have to.
That's what his skaters are for!   ;)

Besides...all Elliot has to do is stop pucks.
If he can do that, it may frustrate some of the Blues who feel they "should beat Philadelphia", and could open the door for the Flyers to capitalize on the "vaunted Blues defense".

Flyers playing a perfectly fine "boring road game" so far.
Elliot seems to be tracking the puck well enough....and I've even seen some Flyer players go towards the net when one of their guys has the puck down low....and they seem to be beating Blues defenders to certain areas around the front of the net.

Could bode well if they keep doing that.

PP goal St. Louis.....
Justin Faulk left all alone for the easy shot.

Philly did most everything right on that PK though...attacked the puck carrier, gave no time or space to shooters, but the obvious numbers game caught up with them and the Blues would always have someone open.

Can't really blame Elliot on that one....not so sure even a guy like Hasek could have stopped Faulk just now.

Good chance Binns shuts them out...as soon as the Blues pp gets a few chances...the floodgates will open.

Blues defense has looked beatable today..

Flyers not giving up and just continue to take shots and go to the net.
2-1 score in their favor says they need to keep doing that the rest of the game.

They need to have the lead going into the 3rd period. That is when the Blues physical game usually wears the opponent's will down. They aren't winning this one if they don't have the lead going into the 3rd.

David Perron with an a-hole crosscheck move on TK....

Hey Perron, self-control harder. He should hear from the league office for that. Should have been one penalty for the crosscheck, and another for the trip on Konecny.
