TropicalFruitGirl26
Looks like TK got the better of that exchange.....drew the penalty, then scores on the PP in the next period. 3-1 certainly looks better than 2-1, although now, The Fly have to kill off another one... TropicalFruitGirl26
Philly imploding??? Jeebus….. everything going their way, and now they feel compelled to take penalties. 5 on 3 for the Blues..

TropicalFruitGirl26
Damn good work by Philly on that 5 on 3 PK. Some good patience shown, smarts on what lanes to cover, and made the right choices on hits along the boards.

How about that lame slashing call on Kubel, hes in on the forecheck , going after the player with the puck and the other Blues player sets a pick on Kubel and he lightly hooks his stick and gets a slashing penalty. It should have been an interference call on St Louis. I hate the lame calls in todays NHL. The high hit on Konecny should have been 4 mins at least. TropicalFruitGirl26
Well....Flyers doing Flyer things now. Coughed up the two goal lead, Elliot looking like, well, Elliot, and now TK is in the penalty box giving St. L yet another PP opportunity. Mad Dog
Infuriating... Just infuriating with this team. Had an opportunity to put this game away. Instead, it is tied and the Blues are storming.

"Flyers needed to bury this thing earlier" Blues defense was looking vulnerable...not so much now.

I don't really subscribe to the 'conspiracy theories' when it comes to penalties called, but even I have to agree that St. Louis is not playing NEARLY as clean a game as their time on the PK is suggesting.....that is to say, they aren't taking many and are playing a mistake free game. Of course, the eye test says otherwise.

TropicalFruitGirl26
A stat was just shown that David Perron leads the league in OT winning goals....boy, would that be a stinger if HE were the one to get it here......
Mad Dog
Well... at least they've earned a point - on the road, against the NHL best team, playing a back-up netminder.

Howie58
Well, that was a good win. Elliott was OK. For a team that's played poorly on the road, this was a big step forward.
mkscrewy
Respect where it’s due. Voracek could do to stop playing like he’s throwing out layups for a junior team tho. Good goal tonight.
