Why drop him and have him disrupt another line?? I think it's up to JVR, TK and Giroux to find a way to get on the board. The talent is there only they can figure it out. No one is coming to save them. Time to earn that check.

What a play by Coots! Nobody ever saw that potential in him when he put up 100 points in the Q as a 17 year old. Nope, never. 2 1

Coots is the real story behind both of those goals.

But on a more optimistic note, How bout that Pitlick guy....He's really turned out to be a solid addition to the line up! Hayes is earning his contract, laughton and Farabee playing well. Jake continues to SUCK SO GOOD.... I'll tell ya though....would be really nice to see the "Best player in the world" take control of even one shift!!!..... Glad to have Flyers hockey back though....that was a LONG break.

Of 52 forwards with a cap hit of $6.5M or more he's 40th in total points and 42nd in points per game. 41st in +/-. He has 1 more point and .02 more ppg than James van Riemsdyk. One point behind and .03 ppg behind Zach Parise. Of 20 centers with a $7+M cap hit, he's 18th in total points and 19th in ppg. 20th in +/-. Of 13 centers 30 or under with a $7+M cap hit, he's 12th in total points and in ppg (.01 ppg above Ryan Johansen). Also last in +/-. Again, he's had a positive impact on the squad from the eye test, and clearly his two goals last night were important goals. That said the question of whether he's "earning" his contract is probably up for reasonable observers to debate... Which I'm betting they will

Right? I made clear what I was referencing. Crystal clear. Players who are forwards or centers making $7M plus. Apples to apples to apples. Looks like 28 players have 3+ shorties this season. Not all of them make $7M+ And your point was what exactly?
