jammer2
http://www.windsorstar.com/sports/Oilers+star+Taylor+Hall+injury/6020159/story.html Guess he'll be out for a few more games, don't think he has very good vision in the one eye. Would be willing to bet he has absolutely no perphial vision out of that eye, which leaves you pretty vulnerable in todays NHL. He also said he could not put on a helmet without splitting open the stitches......wow, is that nasty or what? Geez, bad hair style young Taylor picked huh, there will be no covering up that scar....but guess skin grafting (or whatever they call it) is possible. JackStraw
@jammer2 - the only time that I needed stitches from playing hockey was during warmups. Skating around without a helmet and was looking one way and crashed into another guy who's stick hit me in the head. It only needed about 10 stitches but those head wounds do bleed a lot. flyercanuck
@JackStraw I bet some of the other things had to do with certain festivities at some unnamed (Grateful Dead) concerts?

The Quigster
Why do NHL players not want to protect their eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and brain? Imagine if the NFL guys played unprotected. Shanahan's not elimating cheap shots, why not penalize the injurer with suspension as long as the injured player is out? In addition the NHL needs get together with some of the equipment manfactures to get this concussion epidemic eliminated!.
