1. Four point game for the wildcard spot

2. Usurper goalies battle: two small used to be backup goalies duel, which one is better?

3. Fiala vs Granny. Can Fiala keep on proving Fenton made a huge trade?

4. Two used to be assistant coaches battle, Evason or Hynes?

5. Two d-man corps with offensive prowess battle about which is the more explosive offensively? Josi racks up points, but so does Suter, or could Spurgie score a hattie again?

6. If the Preds start struggling again during the end of the season, would Duchene or Johansen become available as 1C candidates? Would they even be worth considering, if they became available?

7. Does porn fiend Koivu want to keep on saving what little respect he has left?

8. Do they find a way of utilising the best scorer in the AHL?

This should be a GEM of a game! Loads of stuff to follow 😁

Fiala just looks fantastic lately.  I am feeling much better about this trade in the past few months.  One of the few trades  that is really working in our favor.  This is one of the players to build around - along with Kaprisov, Kunin, and others.  I would love to see not only a de-emphasis of 11 and 20 next year (if they are here, and assuming no Klyde), but would like to see some management encouragement to 'step aside' leadership wise for the next wave.  Brodin moves to Line 1; I don't care who his partner is, as long as it is NOT Suter.  Suter and Parise are transitioned to non-bottom 3 and bottom 6 roles, respectively  (non-primary roles).  I don't want to see Dubnyk again this season either.  Ride Stalock.

LOL Suter just ruins everything

Suter is the biggest sled in terms of effort at that level of contract that I have seen in a LONG time.  He just feels ENTITLED to all the TOI, the A, and the 'Leadership' mantle.  His play is generally pathetic (see ole' in bull fighting).  However, he continues to make it look like he is relevant with all the garbage assists, the excessive TOI, and all the non-counting 'minuses' he gives up on the PK.  I was never impressed with him on Nashville.  He was playing with not only a great partner, but a big, aggressive, non-nonsense player (Shea Weber).  Suter was NOT as good as Weber, and I would have much preferred Weber - big and rugged, versus Suter's finesse poke check and limp wrister game.  The adjective POMOUS comes to mind.  He is the definition of a 'me first' player.

Wild Earn Important 3-1 Win Over Nashville

Good to see them take care of business early, but I didn't like how they eased up in the 3rd.  Way too nonchalant on the power plays trying to set up specific people instead of just lighting the lamp with what they were giving us and let the other things take care of themselves.  Great game for Fiala.  I have a full game recap, an Iowa Wild report and prospect news too!  Enjoy!

The Preds sure don't look like they are going to the playoffs. The Wild was clearly better in the first period. I'd expect the Preds are done and the Wild keeps on clawing for the wildcard spot. Fiala 1+1, Granny two posts and 2+2 minutes in the box. It's looking good for us right now!

What a backcheck and play by Fiala.  He looked fast and relentless on that play.  Pretty impressive.

Agree. He is a young, pretty impressive, talented player by his specific style of play and his stick handling too. Did not see that for a long period of time in the team. It seems his talent started to explode/to open more and more to the Wild fans. Probably, he found his team to enjoy and to live with.  According to Russo, Fiala is the first player in the Wild history to have multiple points in 5 consecutive games. Leon Draisaitle and Nikita Kucherov are the only other NHLers to do the same this season.

For the Wild team only Marian Gaborik (2006-2007 & 2007-2008) and Brian Rolston (2005-2006) had multiple points in 4 straight games.

Last night we had 2 very important points in regulation win against Predators team which  we always struggle to play. Still wish to see more Gerry Mayhew in the team. I like him because he does create some sharp exciting moments during the game, especially in a duo with Fiala. The puck luck in the big club will come to him too. It will take some time. Actually, so far I like a lot in our team - Fiala, Donato, Mayhew, Hartman, Foligno, Brodin. They do make a real nice benefits for the entire team in my opinion.
