pilldoc
Calgary finished eighth in the Western Conference with 79 points in 70 games for a points percentage of .564. yave1964
Close series, two evenly matched teams, i picked Calgary because the Jets defense has been smoke and mirrors all year and i feel the quick Flames forwards will wear them down and keep the 5 on 5 play in the Jets zone most of the time. Kind of neat series the battle of Atlanta if you will......
mojo1917
Inject this series into my veins. I think this will be hard hitting, high skill level all the things we like about hockey. I agree with @yave1964 about the D corps for the Jets. I think the heavy forwards for the Peg wears down the Calgary D As bad as the Wild/Canucks series is -this one will be that level but awesome. Jets in 5

Jets in 5 I cab see the Flames trying to force the play up ice with their small fast forwards and puck moving blueliners and the Jets countering with rugged forwards trying to move the puck the other way but being a step short. The difference may be Hellboy versus Rittich in net, but i think i will still stick with Calgary because they role three lines that can all score and the Jets defense simpy will come up short.

yave1964
Talk about a gut check game from the Jets, down two impossible to replace players, Harkins and Lowry scored huge goals and Ehlers stepped up with the GWG after the Flames clawed their way back into the game and Hellboy was fnatastic. Gotta give the Jets credit for finding something within themselves to overcome adversity in game 2.
OccamsRazor
Ehlers just scored his first ever playoff goal last game and now he's done gone and done it again...1-0 Jets.
OccamsRazor
Flames responded quickly. 1-
Podein25
I hate refs. And that almost Gaudreau goal had a pick in it that wasn't called. I hate refs. Edited August 4, 2020 by Podein25
mojo1917
What's the deal with Morrissey? He was looking like he needed the quiet room late in the 3rd period. I picked Winterpeg, but they don't have much of the team I was counting on left on the roster. This series is looking inevitable for Calgary to me now. Wow Cam Talbot shut the door on the Jet's 2019-20 season. Once they lost their two stars it seemed they had no one to step up. Even Hellboy finished with 938% stopping 30 of 32 shots but the rest of the team just didn't show up. FORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a tough sport and a tough championship to win. Credit to the Flames. Their PP was better and their strategy to get in on the Jets' D and pound them worked. The Jets D needs to be reshaped. It was exposed.
