But you are right, for the 3rd, if the Flyers want to quash any and all feeling for Montreal that they can come back, they are gonna have to play more on their end, generate more shots, and generally make the Canadiens play more defense, because it is clear they feel more comfortable and would rather play in the Flyer zone.

On top of that which you say, that I agree with...is that nothing slows down a fast skating little guy better than a solid, hard bodycheck. Too many Flyers not moving their legs well enough, also. Too much standing around.

There we have it.
Flyers hang on, move forward, which sends the Bruins in against the Lightning and means the Flyers face Barry Trotz and his NY Islanders.

Both series look to be very interesting. Lots of contrasting styles all over the place in there.

But if Philly thought the Canadiens were tough checkers, they BEST get their offensive raised because the Islanders will be even tougher in that department.

Not worried about the Isles speed they won't be faster to the puck like Montreal.

 

Maybe more physical but they can take the Isles in 6.

 

However if G and his Gang of Ginger Gangsters don't show up it could be over in 5 in the Isles favor...
