Game day: what's everybody drinking?

Afternoon start so best get started early. And, with the way the Flyers are playing, better make them doubles.

Stuck on duty. Best I can do is a double Powerade.

What I want to see today:

1. Aggressive forecheck.  Don't get so worried about getting caught in deep that you're not forcing turnovers with your speed & aggression on the forecheck.  Pressure everywhere below the dots.  Relentlessly.  Forecheck. Rinse. Repeat.

2. Keep it simple.  No east-west passes at either blue line.  If pressured, get to the red line and get it deep.  Shoot the puck and drive the net for rebounds.

3. Get dirty.  Drive hard at the net.  Get into the corners.  Throw the body all over the ice.  Little constant bumps are just as good as highlight level hits.

Do all 3 of these and the Flyers will be dictating play, rather than reacting.  When they play like that, they can compete with anyone.

I would like to see what you mentioned of course but they need better puck control cleaner passes to handle and try not to wait to pass at the last second pass when the opportunity presents itself to have the best path and for the receiver to be able to receive under control and go, to create less bobbling of the puck.

It is one thing the Isles did made nice crisp passes and they received it while making quick decisions.

Basically the Flyers need to play like they have played hockey before....professionally.

Agreed. And better puck support, especially in the NZ

I have not tried it. I use the "cable town" streaming app myself. I don't know that you have cable town( xfinity) in NM.

Day drinkin' hockey mule for me. !

Bourbon, ginger beer ( go Couturier/Giroux), lime juice, rocks.

Blackback Bourbon from Silverback Distillery. Best craft bourbon I've had- I haven't had many- but it is smooth and delicious with a butterscotch/caramel? finish....it's almost a shame to mix it with anything.

I'd like to see the @eleven24  prescription filled dutifully today.

I would add, trust the goaltender. Kid's good, he's got you.

The thing about worrying about getting caught deep in the o-zone with the Islanders is those dudes with the wheels can finish- It's a legit concern. Carter's got to be sharp.

Take a hit and make the play boys !

Hmmm...I'd rather see Hagg in the lineup over Braun. And agree with others' suggestions of taking a look at Frost in for Thompson. Maybe try swapping him in/out with Grant on the 3rd & 4th line to see what works best.

I'm a little surprised that JVR is not in the lineup again.   I'm not saying I want him in, just saying I'm surprised.

Frost for Thompson and Hagg for Braun would be my other change if I were coach.

Come on Flyers.  At least just play well.  I don't care if you lose, just show up.

Can't afford to have a guy out there skating in circles waiting for the others to do the work and get him the puck.

The Flyers need nose to the grind stone group vs these guys.

Unlike Montreal they have the finishers to make you pay for your mistakes.

No time for passengers.

I think JVR's Flyers career should be over going forward.

He just doesn't fit.

Me too to be honest. Glad he's not, but I could easily see AV putting him in saying: "earn your huge salary just for one game you absolute pile of hot garbage, ok mole-face?!"

Reddit is a decent gateway generally.

r/hockeystreams has worked for me in the past. So I figured their "top hit" playoff page would be good.

I didn't want to send anything that would brick your phone/laptop...Good luck

Go Flyers

I'm teleworking so no drinking.  I don't do much drinking nowadays anyway.  Only beer when I do.  Two laptops and the cell phone by my side and the game on TV.  Hope I don't get any work assignments.

JVR and Hang are both in.  I don't trust those pregame lineup reports.
