Here is some more Tony D stuff.
FWIW, he apparently DOES have supporters in the NHL community.

Ex-Rangers player Tony DeAngelo bares soul in interview (nypost.com)

Former defense pair partner with the Rangers, Marc Staal, now with Detroit, said some Red Wings players were "curious" about him.
Might he end up in Detroit at some point? Under the same GM (Steve Yzerman) who drafted him in Tampa Bay....only to trade him away to Arizona before he ever saw NHL ice with the Lightning?

Could be interesting.

Why do I get the feeling I am watching a Soap Opera Drama here .......

That's because at the moment, it sorta is.

I realize DeAngelo brought a lot of this crap on himself, but I would REALLY like to see him just focus on the game of hockey and make a damned good offensive defenseman with an attitude for someone.

Not that I like douchebaggery, but it would really be a shame for his talents to waste away because he can't seem to stay out of things that have nothing to do with the game he is supposed to love.

I rooted for Steve Downie as well, but sadly for him, his demons overpowered his will to be a professional hockey player.
I just hope that maybe with the support people like Marc Staal seem to show for him, DeAngelo realizes what a jerk he's been ( i mean TRULY..not just say the words), and puts his talents towards making himself, and whomever takes the next chance on him, the best they can be.

And shed the soap opera persona he currently finds himself in...

He's had his punishment, seems to be thinking about what he did wrong, perhaps someone should give him a chance and see if it was for real, or if he is just a repeat offender.

Not sure....but I've been hearing this for 7 years now.

Actually, I'm pretty sure.

It's taken me 22 years of non-stop schooling, re-education and outright brainwashing by my wife to make me evolve even this far:

Seven years is just the beginning.
