yave1964 3,113
Connor Mcdavid is closing in on history, with a single point tonight against the Jets he will join a select club of players with 500 points in less than 400 games. If he scores tonight he will tie the same pace as Crosby with 500 points in his first 369 games the 8th fastest pace of all time to start a career. To put it in a bit of perspective Gretzky scored his 500th point in his 234 games and Messier hit his 500th point in only his 287th game. Different era, wide open hockey back then, to me, McDavid doing it in 369 games is damn impressive in todays game. A lot of goalies are rumored to be moving soon, supposedly the Penguins are asking about the availability of Fleury and Toronto is getting restless with Andersen who has nine wins but his periphral stats are not good and his third period meltdown against the lowly Senators has the Ontario media up in arms. Galchenyuk has not yet been traded today but there are still six hours in the day to go. A lot of people drank the Kool-Aid on the Rangers this season (including me) but they are awful, they simply cannot score. Lafrenierre is rumored to be sent to the AHL to get 20ish minutes a night to find his game as they think he is facing pressure. Trouba is out for six weeks now, DeAngelo was a massive mistake and a huge distraction. They are rumored to be ready to move about anyone not named Panarin and reboot. Puck_Pun 243
Ahh McDavid, the shining light in an overall mediocre team. I really hope they get better as it would be nice to see him hoist the cup
