doom88
Eklund garbage. That would require either carrying three goalies on an NHL roster, when there are only two nets in practice rinks - or waiving Bob (WILL get claimed) - or somehow getting rid of Bryz (or as much as I hate to think about it, trading away Bob, which will lead to a whole new potential level of franchise-devolving epic fail). As it stands, the Flyers cannot figure out which forward to scratch on a game to game basis since they are playing well, and eventually the injured forwards will hopefully return to health. Bringing in any goalie would literally be the most destructive way to take a working roster and transform it into a complicated and comical episode of how to screw up a good thing in one single move. And seriously, do you honestly think Ed Snider is going to carry THREE Russian goalies? Hahahahahaha.
Leach27
After signing bryz I wouldn't for one second be surprised to see Snyder in public in indian ceremonial head dress. The Flyers have made many wild trades over the years, what's different about now?????
Vanflyer
@Leach27Ecklund is a complete idiot. Phoenix is fighting for a playoff spot (3 points out) and Whitney is their leading player. Why would they move him??
The Quigster
How about some French goalies? The Russians seem to cave at the worst possible moment. Edited January 26, 2012 by quigly
aziz
@Leach27obviously would only make sense if holmgren has a line on a way to move bryzgalov. which i find hard to believe.
Leach27
Aziz - Were the NYR ever able to move scott gomez and his $51.5 million, seven-year contract???
aziz
@Leach27yeah, and i found it hard to believe. still do, really.it could happen. someone out there could look at bryzgalov and think maybe it's a scenery problem. possible. i would be all, "you've gotta be kidding me" if it happened, but.... possible. flyercanuck
@Leach27 And the Canadiens have been the laughing stock of the NHL ever since...
Podein25
...maybe it's a scenery problem...Oh, it's a scenery problem alright. When Bryz looks out from the goal, apparently all he sees is the vast expanse of the universe, with nary a puck in sight.

Bertmega
@JackStrawMeanwhile in Togliatti Russia circa 1987, a young Ilya Bryzgalov learns how humongous big his future 5-hole is compared to the universe.
