Bear
Your right about the center pool is almost empty we need to feed some scoring centers if want to move ahead. Theres a lot of teams that need the same centers so you have to get lucky in the draft or overpay. More often then not over paying doesn't work you just end up with a expensive contract for too much term and too much money. We will see if Bjugstad has the skill set to do the job.
lynxrattle
Eichel is leaving the Sabres after the slight "disconnect" on his health. The Wild was mentioned. Kap-Eichel duo. That would be really something! Buffalo is in a different conference so the Sabres fans wouldn't be seeing Eichel that much, making it easier for the Sabres organisation. We would need to show Eichel the money, though. And there's the disc operation risk.

Which could decimate your depth.

lynxrattle
Losing the depth in a trade is of course another huge problem. We would have to be a bit lucky with our prospects. We've got Addison and Boldy coming into fruition, possibly Rossi and Menell, among others. Eichel and Kap are about the same age, though. We could wait a couple of years for the prospects to develop, and then be ripe for a real run, with Eichel and Kap at a near optimum age and the Boldys and Addison bringing the youthful energy.
