I think Giroux is lost without Jagr. He should be doing more on his own now. Matt Read is the one real bright spot on the team right now. Simmonds looked like he hesitated on that last shot that was late going across the line. Not sure what the replays showed?

Z should not have replaced Jagr on the first line.He is good at his role on the fourth line.

Last year the short handed goal was the object of their affection and they were good at it. Personnel on this team look like they are getting closer to that objective.

More defense near the end of periods is needed. nothing like a goal inside of the last second or minutes to give the opposition motivation for the next period.

If they can get the five on five defense looking as good as the PK that will be excellent .

@Phlyer1 With the length of the contract and how much he gets a year, it's not to crazy to think those should be stopped.

Honestly, through the first month or so of the season, I'm still trying to figure out if the Flyers have upgraded skill in net as much as they invested in salary.

I started this topic and after reading the replies I feel I am being too tough on the guy. Main reason like some pointed out he plays well and when he lets one in it is like he is too good to let that happen.

Panthers have been playing as well as the Flyers going in last night. Same records up till last night so it was not an easy game by any means.

There was little doubt the Refs were trying to control the game the way they thought it should be played. It is Hockey and things happen you can't control every shift every rush. I had to listen to the Panthers broadcast team and they felt the Refs were hard on both teams. I concur.

Flyers win but Bryz should have had a shootout. The two goals he allowed should have been stopped.

I like him but I am concerned with his 60 minute concentration.
