Yes they did. Really the only game they sucked at was the one against the Sharks.

I looked at the stats of the game and it certainly looked like that. Why couldn't the Sharks have played like that against the Capitals?

Oh Yeah, Backstrom has been cleared for contact practice so that tells me he is pretty darn close. Having him back setting up plays and assisting on goals is really going to take what already is a great offense even better.

Haha, I know. Every year I expect them to go 82-0 and it never happens. Haha

The Caps defense is average at best. They do have Carlson and Orpik, but they don't have one of the top defenses in the league. Also without Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom that totally takes a big chunk out of the Capitals offensive power. Don't get me wrong, I think the Sharks have a very good team and should rival the Ducks for the top spot in the Pacific division.

Yes they did and Holtby did everything he possibly could to try and keep it close. The definite weakness on the Caps team is their defense. So with a defense that is not that great and not having their best two players in Ovechkin and Backstrom made it really hard to do much yesterday against a good harks team who have a really hot goalie right now in Jones.

Yep, there will goals scored for sure. I am pleased at the way the Capitals defense played so far(even though it has only been 1 game.)

It's gonna be a great game. I think it being a Caps home game they will get the win.
