He's made two errors so far: re-signing Braun and letting Pitlick go. And both of those I can live with given rationale at play. Disagree? Fight me!

I agree 100%, when I saw that they let Pitlick go I was no doubt annoyed. He played very well, was / is a good serviceable bottom 6 guy and had a good playoffs. I really wish that they would of given him the money and resigned him.

York has excellent vision and the passing skills to quarterback the power play. He can put the puck through tight spaces and can set up teammates on both his forehand and backhand. He sees and anticipates the movements his teammates will make.

His quick stick poke checks opponents and creates turnovers. He also reads the play well and his positioning is strong.

Those are no doubt the main thing's that I have noticed while watching York's highlights. I believe he will be a very, very good two way 200 ft player with how well he can back / poke check, as well as Captain a powerplay with how well he controls the PP from the point.

The future can be worried about then. Right now the team needs to become competitive and cohesive. They are building a strong defense and the only key player gone is Gudas.

Like I said before, we are all worried more about how bad Hayes is gonna suck, instead of how good he might play

I LOVE IT! That is some positive jazz right there man.  I Pray you are right, no doubt exciting times in Flyer Land with a little slightly scared thrown in as well.

The debate is about the money and the term and the downstream implications of that for team on the ice (e.g., losing a Sanheim to Seattle because Hayes has to be protected due to NMC)

Dude great thank you...like I don't have enough of a problem trying to get sleep and now I went ahead and read that ^ ..... Im screwed...

Man I Hope so, this team needs what Ghost currently brings and most importantly what he will bring to this team as he matures and improves.

Any team willing to trade a player like Ghost and the type of player I Pray he will turn out to be is simply out of there mind.

  6. I am sure from the chat room most know I like this pick very much, especially recovering our pick in the second round.

Kid looks like a great 200 foot player that could captain the powerplay in the future. I like his clean passing and his shots from the point seem to find there way through much more often than not.

I know most are hating on this pick as well as hating on everything Fletch has done but can we stop being freaking typical of how we act anymore as a fan base and give Fletch and his moves some time to....I...I don't know actually get on the ice first?

One thing I am in agreement on though is the Hayes contract, that scares the crap out of me, I Pray Hayes can be anywhere in the 60-70 point range "wishful thinking" year in and year out, that would help ease the pain of that contract.

  7. Forgive me I have not been on this site for some time and I have been keeping track of what has been going on with the team.

I know everyone is going nuts over the Hayes contract which I agree makes me extremely nervous but only time will tell and Hayes better be at least a 60-65 point player "dreaming" to make that contract seem fair.

My question though is, and I am seeing it everywhere and that is why is everyone so quick on the trigger to trade Ghost? You can never have enough good possibly great dmen and he will only get better in my opinion.

So why trade him? I am also seeing people wanting to trade Konecny if the Flyers where in on Marner.

I am sorry you keep Konecny, as much as I love Patrick but I would not doubt rather trade him than TK all things being equal.

  8. I am sure Roenick was saying Bryz was a high end goalie and would win us a cup some day lol. Boy is he wrong about Mason I think Mason is already and will prove it this year to be a top 5 goalie in the league. Hes still insanley young for a goalie. We finally have a legit goalie since Hextall and now Roenick has something bad to say about our netminding fcking great timing!

  9. I agree Jammer just half to wait for injuries to happen in trainnig camp or reg season which is unfortunate obviously. Holmgren is a freaking idiot can't stand what he has done to this team fcking totally handcuffed Hextall.....God forbid but if or when an injury happens to a another teams center we will be in aposition of power and get a steal for a guy we could not give away now.

If Giroux were to grab Holmgrens ass he would be grabbing his fcking brain!

Mike Fisher will be out a few months for the Preds so who the hell know whats going to happen now...

  10. No thank you... Is this all were going to see now....9 million trade Giroux scenerios for one stupid night he had that people will forget about by the start of the season. No way we trade our center piece the whole team is butt around errrr I mean built around.

On a side not though Giroux will never be able to do the ol "slap in the ass good game guy" to his teamates ever again wtf?? Thats like part of all sports from the beginning time :(

All seriousness though this to shall pass in time Giroux no worries bud, just do fck up again okay please?

    No way to that trade.

  11. Joe hes a great call up. We def got the better end of the deal with the 3rd rounder but hes still a solid pick up for you guys.

He will probably be a better fit for your team then he was for ours. When he is called up he plays a solid game and is a good bridge gap for when a player gets injured and is on his way back to the ice.

Hell he probably will start and play on the 4th line for you guys, he will probably get more ice time with you guys then he did with us.

Decent shot, can play physical, bigger body which fits your teams style of build. Believe it or not from what I can remember when he was in the line up last year he had a couple of clutch goals for us correct me if im wrong guys.

Good luck for the both of you!

  12. A 3rd for McGinn...wow thats outstanding. I like the Shultz singning I think he will be a great fit here. I think he could get a starting job possibly as a 6th d-man. I really like the moves Hexy has been making latley. Alot of good depth signings and making the Phantoms a better team. Nice to have your loose ends all tied up God forbid a starter goes down we got serviceable back ups for the time being.
