  2. please no weber. flyers need not to put all their eggs in one basket. they signed pronger to a long term deal look how that ended, look at liya long term deal look how that is working out. just because you get the best d man out their does not guarantee and where is Nashville now with weber not in the playoffs

  3. NO!!!. I COULD STOMACH RICHY WINNING AND GAGS I WOULD BE HAPPY FOR. BUT CARTER WHO WHINED HIS WAY OUT OF THE BLUE JACKETS ORGANIZATION AND DID NOT WANT TO PLAY THAT IS JUST CLASSLESS. I LOVE HOCKEY BUT IF THE FLYERS ARE NOT IN THE PLAYOFFS HOCKEY IS DEAD TO ME

  4. According to a source, it was said that JVR quickly bolted once folks recognized him. I’m guessing that meant Riemer meekly fought his way through the crowd, reaching the exit only after being pushed around a little bit by smaller people.

The source also said that "JVR gave me a thumbs up when I asked about the foot. He did run out of there pretty quick. Didn't seem like he had a broken foot. Trade dodger much?"

Also, he drinks Bud Light and was wearing a blazer."

  5. In an interview on Daily News Live, orthopedic specialist Mark Schwartz, said it was not unusual for chip fractures of this nature to sideline a normal person for seven to 10 days.

“No surgery required," Holmgren said. "It's not like van Riemsdyk’s broken foot. It’s a a chip off a weight-bearing bone and the doctors said it will be absorbed back into the system. There’s no real risk here at all."

The injury happened in warm-ups on Monday, when Bryzgalov blocked a shot taken by teammate Jakub Voracek. Despite that, there was never a plan for Bryzgalov to sit out for the game against the Lightning.

"He wanted to play," Holmgren said. "We had an X-ray after warm-ups with his skate on and nothing showed. An X-ray after the game didn’t show. And an MRI (taken Tuesday) showed a small little chip in there. So we’re dealing with it. We’ll see how the next couple of days go. Nobody is really concerned about this."

  6. If Washington gets the 8, I see them going out in 4 or 5 games. There's an offseason of change coming to Washington.

I agree something will happen after the season with the caps and not for the good. I really don't see AO being a cap for his whole career. he is selfish, dirt and not a team player and he is lazy. alot of bodies whont be back for them next yr.

Hindsight is always 50/50, but there was no doubting in Jakub Voracek’s mind how he felt about the hit he took Tuesday night against Detroit’s Niklas Kronwall.

“The hit was clean,” said the Flyers’ winger, who remains questionable for Thursday’s game against Florida under a concussion watch.

The NHL obviously concurred on the hit being clean, as it did not fine or suspend Kronwall.

Replays show Voracek had his head down and turned right into Kronwall’s shoulder.

“I had my head down,” he said. “I’ve got to be aware that Kronwall is standing there at the blue line. It was the end of my shift and I look up and he’s standing at the blue line and I’m focusing on the puck and he’s very good at it.

“I was kind of naïve to think he was going to back up, obviously. It was a tough hit to take, but it was a clean hit and from my side, it was my bad. Those hits should stay in the game.”

Asked how he was feeling, Voracek replied, “Not bad.”

“From what I saw last night, it was a pretty tough hit to take,” he said. “I survived it pretty good. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow.”

Voracek passed an initial SCAT concussion test Tuesday night, general manager Paul Holmgren said, but he must be re-evaluated and take a baseline test to play against the Panthers.

“We’ll see what happens tomorrow,” Voracek said. “It can change every day. I don’t want to say I feel too good. Like I said, every day is different. Hopefully, I can get back as soon as possible.”

looks like he might not have a concussion at all we hope
