Brewin Flames
Robert Lantosi Signs Entry-Level Deal With Bruins August 6, 2020 By Alex Thomas The Boston Bruins have signed forward Robert Lantosi to a one-year entry-level contract, the club announced Thursday. The deal will carry a cap-hit of $750,000 at the NHL level. Lantosi, 24, appeared in 50 games with the AHL’s Providence Bruins in 2019-20. It was Lantosi’s first season in North America. He recorded 31 points (11 g, 20 a) with a plus-10 rating in the AHL. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound forward skated in 56 games with Nitra MHC in the Slovak Tipsport Liga, the top league in Slovakia, in 2018-19. There, Lantosi scored 58 points (20 g, 38 a). He also finished with a plus-17 rating. In 18 playoff games that spring, Robert Lantosi scored ten points (3 g, 7 a) in 18 games. It was his second season with Nitra MHC. He also spent nine games in 2017-18 with the club. Lantosi scored three points (1 g, 2 a) in those nine games, and added three more (1 g, 2 a) in eight playoff games. That performance earned him a full-time role in 2018-19. Lantosi had reportedly generated interest from other NHL clubs prior to signing with the Bruins.
