    Goals allowed. Bryz let in the most telling ones during the shootout. Offense not getting back fast enough. D not standing up and challenging the O enterring the zone. As good as Simmonds plays he is knocked off the puck too often FAILURE to clear too many times. Still the biggest blame goes to Brygalov for going down and leaving the top of the net open.JMO

    The net is too high and he is too low. Bernie Paarent's goalie coach. Name escapes me told him during practice,"every time your Ass hits the ice you have to pay me.?" The amount also escapes me. Bernie said," as soon as it started to cost me money i stopped sliding on the ice,"

    I have seen a lot of goal tenders since 1967 and the crowds have been a lot tougher on many who have gone before. Bryz does nto get nearly the rough treatment some have endured.

    Giroux is the closet thing to a Captain right now and that is part of the fight thing. Also he is not happy with his play and will do just about anything to help the team. JMO

    I said it before and I say it again. You can pay Bryz to not play or you can pay him to lose. Having said that I also feel the D lets him hanging out there too often. No goals from the first line AGAIN?

    I have duly noted the many words on Carle. I will watch him more closely in upcoming games. He is a good skater and needs to jump up into the play a little more often. I also feel I have not heard his name duriing the broadcasts?

    No doubt Carle is lost without Pronger. If the move can be made without breaking the bank do it. I make this statement without check ing his + / - ?

    First line was poor. Defense was slow getting back. Bryz really only made one major mistake . Anticipated a pass and did not face the shooter. Once again the youth came to play while Harts and Jagr and Giroux did not gel on the ice.

    I thought that was one of the problems they seemed to clear the zone and put the puck over the Hawks blue line and needed to be more aggressive in trying to add to the lead with so much time left. I believe in the NHL today no lead is safe and you still need to try to score goals till time i son your side.

    Evidently it was not the Orange and Black that was the reason for so many penalties.

    If Lavi insists on playing JVR then move him to the fourth line and move Schen up. As far as yesterday. I am too old to cry but it hurts too much to laugh. losing Jagr was also a big factor.

    *******************I agree defense men should challenge the the man with the puck. He left all the decision making up to Rupp. Rupp followed the rule if in doubt put the puck on net. Two 5 holes equals minus 10.

    As if I needed another reason to hate the Bucs. Tampa affiliate had the firing of the coach between periods. I did not see any up to date interviews etc. Heidi is alive and well in Tampa.

    Bryz should be given the start as a test. The game is worth 2 points and needs to be treated like a regular game. If Bryz flunks this test then he rides the pine for a substantial amount of time. If a back to back pops up then he gets another shot. As I have stated probably too ofter, You can pay him to lose or you can pay him not to play.

    My Dear friend Howie. Hope you are well and gearing up for the New Year. Thirst y we are but we are more hungry for a Goalie that lives up to what was promised and expected. His numbers are good but we hoped for Grrrrrreat.
