I like this team so much more than last year's team...I'm actually excited to watch not rather than same ole hum-drum games of seasons past. And to think they are only going to get better and if JVR can come back healthy and become a top 6 forward, then this team can be good for years. My wish is to add a top D over summer. Gotta plan ahead with Pronger mystery and Kimmo at end of career.

I agree, Flyers scoring first is crucial. Just read that Bob is starting and he has a great record in Pitt. Go Flyers!

Yesterday's effort's not going to cut it

I don't miss JVR but I do miss our first line. Maybe an APB will help to find them?

It's looking like they are getting rested up and playing less ice time as they are getting contributions elsewhere. I think I read that the other day Rinaldo had more ice time than Giroux.

I hope he was only playing hurt this season and I will give him a mulligan but he BETTER show us something more next season or I may have to break out the B word...BUST. BUT, I don't want another Versteeg situation where player is hurt, we ship him out, and he plays much better after healing. I want JVR to do well as a Flyer as much as anyone and think it would be incredible if you could add a motivated JVR to the cast we already have playing.

Watched the game on Comcast and JJ and crew mentioned that one of the Red Wings did something towards the end of the play that Flyers feel should've been a penalty or something like that, not Simmonds that Bryz was mad at.

I was hoping that he'd get the nod, I like this kid. Haven't seen too much of him but I always noticed when he's on the ice. He looks like he has some good speed and a great top gear. Hope he gets to play over Shelly.

UNH is a big big big, stoner school....lots of hot granola chics up for just about anything, i think i'd maybe want to hang out there for a little while too, just to see what could happen.

anyway, when i look at jvr i can't help but see patrick sharp, not that their styles are similar, just the second he's on a different team he'll turn into the player we want, and he'll kill us in the playoffs. Sharp was the hawks best player in the scf and he owned leighton, jvr is bigger and faster and has better hands, i'd wait, i think he's grown up. he overtrained in the offseason, pulling trucks around parking lots, and hurt himself, he was vying for a leadership role in the lockerroom. i think he's going to blossom shortly

Is this team really a cup contender? I guess that's the big question. I would love for them to get a franchise Dman but not necessarily at the expense of the young team they have. I think wait til FA or even be seller's at the deadline and bring in a young prospect like the Zhitnik for Coburn trade years back...if they don't think they'll resign Carle for what he's asking for, get something for him.

Now if only some of Schenn's moxie would rub off on JVR, Mezarros and a few others, that'd be great.

Don't forget, Versteeg was dealing with a sports hernia for much of the season which is why he may not've done well in Philly. JVR is dealing with injuries right now as well.

NHL owns them and I've heard they are most likely not keeping the team in AZ...Any insight on where the NHL may place them? Another team for Canada? Probably at least be in a cold weather city, seems like the southern teams don't do as well and are a big reason there is a damn salary cap, so the smaller markets can compete, but that's a different topic.
