  1. With all of your forwards not playing good so far I think is unfair to point fingers on Coots or Murray. Even Giroux does not play like he could or like we would like to see him. Heck even D (in last few games) and Goaltending in better right now than the Forwards. The PP suck, we do not score goals (except against FLA). Coots and Schenn are in their second full season. Schenn been injured mostly in 2011-2012. And YES not having Jagr hurts a lot.

  2. One day after losing Scott Hartnell for four-to-eight weeks with a broken foot, the Philadelphia Flyers have suffered another significant injury.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, general manager Paul Holmgren stated that defenceman Andrej Meszaros, who was hurt on Thursday night against the Rangers, will miss "about a month" with a left shoulder injury.

The club will recall Andreas Lilja from AHL Adirondack to fill help fill the void.

The Flyers have just one win in four games so far this season and play next on Saturday in Florida against the Panthers.

  3. Just to remind you guys - basicly every D pairing this season is new. Schenn and Foster are new to the club and the system. So i thing it will be fair to give them some time to gell. Expecially with a 6 day traning camp.

Mez and Gross also comming from injuries.

  4. From flyers.nhl.com

With the third day of free agency underway, the Flyers announced three signings. Defenseman Cullen Eddy and forward Mike Testwuide will return to the Flyers organization, as will defenseman Danny Syvret who enters his third separate campaign with the team.

    Eddy

attended Flyers training camp for the past two seasons and appeared in 54 games for the club's AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, where he posted 15 points (2G-13A) and 130 penalty minutes. Eddy also recorded 14 points (4G-10A) in 15 games for the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL this past season.

    Syvret

played for the Flyers from 2008-2010 and part of the 2010-11 season.

He recorded his first NHL goal with the Flyers during the 2010 NHL Winter Classic against the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park.

Overall, Syvret has four points (2G-2A) in 27 games with the Flyers.

With the Flyers' AHL affiliate, Syvret has produced 27 goals and 79 assists for 106 points in 142 regular season games, including 57 points (12G-45A) in 76 games during the 2008-09 season to finish second among all AHL defensemen for the Phantoms during the team’s final year in Philadelphia.

    Testwuide

has spent the previous two seasons in Glens Falls with the Phantoms. He posted 29 points (12G-17A) in 66 games to go along with 79 penalty minutes.

Since signing with the Flyers on March 19, 2010 out of Colorado College, the 6-3, 220-pound Testwuide has recorded 30 goals and 38 assists for 68 points in 142 games with Adirondack.

  5. In my opinion sighing Parise and/or Suter will weakened our roster more than not sign them. Next year free agency will have much more superior talent. Sign them to long term big $ contracts and this will make us only spectators next year. They are good players but not that good. They are right to take maximum, but let them go elsewhere.

    Also i never liked Suter.

Go for next best thing - once those primadonnas make they mind, 28 teams will go for what is left. So get someone else while they are cheap.

Damn @irishjim - just beat me :D, but great minds think alike i guest :P

  6. This year is very weak free agency class. No way guy like Suter to deserve this money rumored. I am to go with reliable 4-5 defenceman, even Carle or Carlo and wait for next year. Weber, Perry or a Getzlaf are much better than Suter and Parise. 12 years and 100 millions is way too much for those players.

  7. So if these rumors are true that Philly is interested in dealing for RW Bobby Ryan, then I am for it.

You may argue his $5.1m cap hit is much too large, especially for the Flyers who battle the cap's ceiling like the common cold. But consider this; in his last four seasons, Ryan's missed ONE regular season game, so his durability is unreal.

Not counting his 5G 2008-09 rookie season, Ryan averages 32.75 goals a season. You wing that sort of production on a line centered by Claude Giroux? Then, my friends, we're talking about Bobby scoring 40+ goals in a regular season.

You've heard me push that we need a pure-goal scorer for 'Roo. Bobby Ryan comes cheaper than Nash, likely cheaper than Parise, and 3 more years on his 5yr contract.

    The prosecution rests its case.

Wait until he meets Jim McCrossin :P

  8. For those of you keeping score at home, that was Gagne’s 18th regular-season goal against Brodeur. Big deal you say? Who cares you say? I say that gives him sole possession of the all-time lead in goals against the future Hall of Famer. I say if you are the all-time leading scorer against the the all-time best goalie in the whole free world, you should get some mention. There. I mentioned it. Happy now?

From other site, when he scored last time against Devils

  9. It was a bad goal, but Bryz was FAR FAR FAR from the reason why they lost the series. Only about 3 players even showed up in the series, and Bryz was one of them.

OK, but which game does our 51 million dollars goalie stole for the team?
