  1. Rinaldo clearly left his feet in making the hit. Kronwall didn't. There's no real gray area there.

    You must be joking, right?

Then what about Kronwall hit on Briere?

    Does he left his feet?

    Does he get suspended?

Does this hit even was reviewed?

There is Double standard and everybody knows that.

  2. LOL. I thought you might've been onto something....until you run the numbers.

We're all rejoicing, dancing in the street, etc. that Bryzgalov actually played like an NHL goalie last night.

As far as "turning the corner, hoping for "consistency" or anything along those lines ... he's got a long (long) way to go.

Yep, he left only one soft goal and let's all praise him ;)

  3. Ok, so let's take a look at this Western Road trip. First of all Winnipeg is not even in the Western Conference so the Flyers actually went 1-2 in their Western Road trip but whatever, let's include them in this discussion. The Flyers barely squeaked out OT and SO wins over Winnipeg and Calgary, both teams that probably wont make the playoffs. They got shut out by Edmonton, the 2nd to worst team in the NHL, and they got shutout by the Sharks, a decent team but has only won 3 of their last 10 games. I am sorry but I would hardly consider that a road trip worth rejoicing.

3 of those 4 game Mr. Universe did everything he could Flyers to loose those games. OT and SO were two of the best and entertaining games the Flyers played this year. San Jose was the only bad game of the trip.

  4. @Phlyer1

They said that that there was slash to the wrist as far as i remember, that slash looked weak to me. But after the call on Hartnell against Phaneuf just before their fight i suppose refs just make those calls.

Also there was 2 or 3 high sticks to Flyers faces that were uncalled. The HNIC crew showed the replays and mentioned that Calgary got away with those.

  5. Well here we go again. 2nd goal and flames are allowed to come across the blue line and blast one from the top of the face off circle.

Hockey Night in Canada measured that "shot' - 41 mph........

    First goal - 65 mph

Both goals - clear view for the "goalthender"

Hope you are sarcastic, those goals are no way on our D account

  6. Just about to start post about the same. Last three weekend games, especially one P.M. ones was brutal. And i mean from whole team. Not by single player or two. Today was maybe worst Giroux game ever. Those two shorthanded goals was after 2 of his passes on PP was intercepted. Also i really can see why MAB is on the line up. Bryz - well nothing new on him. But my point is those early weekend games was played by professionals, making good paychecks and they just don't show up.

  7. Isnt Jack Johnson supposed to be a big tough guy? We do need a big physical defensive stalwart, but we also need a buy to QB the PP. Several of our dmen can move the puck, but other than Mez, no one has a decent point shot at all. Our PP is not doing much and our dmen are not scoring many goals.

My mistake on JJ - sorry. Otherwise agree on your post. In my opinion Coburn has a hard shot, not very accurate but can be used on point during PP. JVR also could be point guy has tremendous shot, would like to see him shoots more.
