None taken, I guess we all have our likes and dislikes. He's been hurt but i view Richards as a Michael Peca version with a little better offensive ability. I don't see the superstar in him that some of you see, just a good 2 way player.

I started hating him because of his lack of hustle during the 2nd half of the year. Also how he handle the media and rumors of the split locker room, I know it's just rumors but it looks true to me when you add it all up. When you are a leader, you need to bring your A game as much as possible. I know it's hard to do every game but do you think last years 2nd half team would've done what this team did in the past 2 weeks by comming back from 3 goal deficits to win? I doubt it, I know it's early but this team has shown much more fight then that team. If Richards didn't have the C, I wouldn't care what he did just like the rest of the team. I hate Carter too but not complaining about him as he wasn't expected to be a leader like Richards was. Overall I just love the youth and hunger of this team right now and glad we moved on from them.

Gotcha, but the year they went to the Finals was a surprise. No one expected they would, last year they were expected to make it there. They had the best record at the break but then flop the rest of the way. Like I said I put it all on Richards because he wore the C, if the owner of the team has given up on you that says something too.

Not sure what you meant but if you live for those minor cups and gold medal then good for you. The Stanley Cup wasn't deliver here and that is the main goal, last season had high hopes and what did he deliver? Half ass play during the 2nd half of the season and getting swept out of the 2nd round. I put it all on him because he was the Captain, I did use to like him but last season I soured on him and am happy as heck at what Homer has done. I give you that he might be the best 2 way player but who cares if he or anyone that is doesn't deliver the goods.

We have a young core of forwards, don't need to trade them away to get old again. Although a vet would help in the playoffs, we should not be trading any of the young forwards unless it's for a young no.1 dman.

It hurts them in the offseason when they can't add salary, only when the season starts then they can put him on LTIR and add salary.

Hate to bring this up and some of you will rip me for this. I would keep Schenn right now and see how he turns out, he's just having a bad break. How about we trade Briere for the young dman every1 talks about. I don't think we will win the cup in the next 2 years, by then Briere will be old. With Pronger becoming injury prone and Timo has 1 more year on his contract, wouldn't hurt to bring in the young guy now to learn from either 1 of them. With our young forwards still developing it would be great to let the young dman develope with them. My other thought. Let's see where we stand at the trade deadline, if we are at the bottom half of the playoff seeding. Trade Briere and/or Timo for 1 or 2 young dman. After the season buyout Pronger if the new CBA let's them, let Carle go. Then we can sign Weber or whoever can fit under the cap, another quick way Homer can retool the defense on the fly. This team would be stack in 3-4 years on forwards and d. We can only Bryzgalov will still hold up.

As for Marshall and MA Bourdon, they've been ok playing limited minutes. Lavy is using the other four dmen too much and it's wearing them out by the end of the game, especially back to back games. Would like to see the 2 rookies play in all situations to see how they hold up.

4 wins in a row, hard to complain but his stats doesn't look good. I like how Lavy is playing him in back to back in the past week to get him rolling. We will need him to get hot from now to the All Star break. Hopefully he does and we can distance ourselves from the pack.

I would like to see Read play with Giroux when Jagr is out. They both have amazing speed and Read looks like a finisher so he would be a good fit with Giroux. I read somewhere that Homer gave him a 3 year one way contract, glad he turned out great so far cause I don't think he can be sent to the minors.

That's too much cap hit for him, always thought he was overrated and this year he is off to a very bad start. I would clear salary for a no.1 dman. We also don't need anymore centermen on this team.

I do want to see him on the roster to see what he can do. It's a shame he got injured to start out his career here. He was the main piece of the Richards trade and a highly touted prospect. He did get 8 points in 4 games at the AHL level so he deserves a look here, I don't blame him when he was in the lineup and the team was losing with him. Lavy changed the lines all over the place, doesn't hurt right now to let him take JVR's spot as he is struggling. Plus only the first line is consistent so far also he might help out our 2nd PP unit as they have done squat there. How do you know by just watching the 4 games he was here may I ask? Then you're saying we got rob from the trade? I do hope you are wrong, I want to see him succeed as he can be one the many young forwards with bright future here.
