If the economy is collapsing in Russia then maybe that will help the Flyers being able to pay St Petersburg for his release.   Just hopeful thinking I guess.

I haven't been this excited about a Flyers prospect since Lindros.   Question though,  thinking out loud.   They can't sign Michkov because he is signed with another team correct?  Maybe a stupid question.  Let's hope he doesn't piss off anyone in Russia over the next 3 years or he will end up in the Russian Navy.  lol.   Does anyone think the Flyers will try to buy out his contract with St Petersburg?

So happy with this pick.  Had to change my Depends a couple of times before the pick.   His Agent said they got what they wanted so I am hopeful he is very happy to be picked by the Flyers and is excited to come.

 Obviously there are really no sure things in a draft.  I actually trust what Jones and Briere decide.   With the Flyers history of mismanagement,  I am sure they will be very careful with the moves they make.

Edit.  My hope is he would fall to pick #7.  I might be willing to trade one more pick to move up but not get cleaned out of the 1st round.

 I think Krug is only part of the deal so they can flip him somewhere else.   That is what my son is reading somewhere in the twitterverse.   It would be pretty stupid to take on these older players with the huge cap hit.  It defeats the whole purpose.  The Blues have 3 first rounders.  #10, 25 and 29 so that part is really appealing.

Edmonton doesn't have a 1st rounder this year so I am not sure about Hart going to Edmonton.  I think they would really want a 1st this year for him as a part of the trade.  Imo

My Son heard a rumour that had Carter Hart + to the Sharks for the 4th overall pick.  Not sure where he heard that from but he is all over social media so he picked it up somewhere. lol.  It is always fun to throw some rumours out there.

When I posted the trade and the article,  it only had the Flyers getting Petersen and Sean Walker.  It didn't mention any picks.  I should have figured that wasn't the full trade.

 I had a notification on my phone saying Hart was traded...I was like what?   It was posted I believe around the same time as the Provorov trade saying we traded Hart to Edmonton.    So either someone got a big scoop or they are out to lunch.

 I am ok with trading Hart,  I mean we have to continue our reputation as being the graveyard for goalies.  If we got a 1st and 2 2nd's for Provorov,  I very excited to see what we get for Hart.  So right now for 2024 we have 2 1sts and 3 2nd's.  That's what u need in a rebuild.   Let's hope they make the right picks.   Does anyone think there is chance of offering #7 and #22 to move up this year?  I am thinking that with the rebuild we really need to be making lots of picks so I think we should use both 1st rounders this draft.

Giroux alone is worth more than Tippett and the 2 picks.  And we are such a nice bunch of guys we will keep half of Giroux's salary as well. 

The return is Tippet, a 2nd round 2023 and 1st round 2024

  Sportsnet in Canada says a 2nd round but I think it is a 3rd rounder
