Campbell signs five-year, $25 million contract with Oilers

Goalie was 31-9-6 with Maple Leafs last season

Jack Campbell signed a five-year, $25 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $5 million.

 

The 30-year-old goalie was 31-9-6 with a 2.64 goals-against average, .914 save percentage and five shutouts in 49 games (47 starts) for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season. He was 3-4 with a 3.15 GAA and .897 save percentage in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games.

 

Selected by the Dallas Stars in the first round (No. 11) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Campbell is 71-39-14 with a 2.53 GAA, .916 save percentage and nine shutouts in 135 regular-season games (125 starts) for the Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings and Stars and 6-8 with a 2.45 GAA, .915 save percentage and two shutouts in 14 playoff games.

 

Forward Evander Kane signed a four-year, $20.5 million contract ($5.125 million AAV) to remain with the Oilers on Wednesday. Defenseman Brett Kulak signed a four-year $11 million contract ($2.75 million AAV) to remain with the Oilers.
