  1. It will be interesting to see when Gus comes back because they'll have to make some moves on defense... Either MAB is sent back down, Walker gets waived, or Lilja gets waived. If I were a betting man, I would guess they send MAB down, even though I think that's the wrong move.

My guess is Gus goes down. He'll need some time to get back in shape.

    Oz,

Glad I am not the only one who picked up on the chubby kid bawling his eyes out. Is it wrong that I laughed my ass off when I saw it?

Maybe the girl in the Flyers gear next to him punched him in the head, she has a look of satisfaction. Look at the stare from the mother...she looks pissed!

  3. I believe the cap hit only remains when the player is over 35 and signed that deal after he turned 35.

The cap hit remains if the contract begins after the player turns 35. Example: Chris Pronger. He signed his contract extension when he was 34 but it didn't kick in until after he turned 35. His cap hit remains for eternity (OK, only 7 yrs.).

Would be nice if we can grab him. He's young and locked into a great contract. Not sure if he's a crease clearer as I rarely see him play. Would 2 1st rd pick, Jvr and Carle be too much? I would try to keep Carle and replace him with any of the rookie Dman. Who would you prefer? Weber/Suter or Yandle.

I don't get it. Yandle is the same player as Carle. Two 1st rd picks & JVR is WAY WAY WAY over paying to trade Carle For Carle.

If it was Carle for Yandle straight up, the only advantage would be the money saved on the cap.

  5. Not too sure but it might be just for trades.

It also includes all waiver moves. It's buried somewhere in the CBA, but I think the only move allowed is a call up on emergency basis. Probably a moot point since the Flyers don't play again until the 27th, but Sestito can not be sent down until the freeze is over.

  6. I don't have a problem with Rinaldo, only problem is he's in the box atleast once a game and that drives me nuts as we have Briere or Hartnell already taking dumb penalties each game. We don't need a parade of players there, if he cleans it up, I will be OK with him.

I have to stick up for Hartnell here. He only has 39 PIMs so far this year. I'm pretty sure 25 of those are from fights. He has really cleaned up his game, only 7 minors. He's helping the team more than hurting this year.

  7. The difference is, Thomas was hurt. I hope Bryzgalov ends up being worth it. I just never was a fan.

No one knew that Thomas was hurt till the season was over and he had surgery. Everybody thought he was the one hit wonder.

I'm not insinuating that Bryz is hurt, just saying that maybe this is just a down year for him. I'm with you. I hope he turns it around.
