Interesting. No other site is reporting Walker on re-entry waivers, not even the Flyers site. TSN is usually on top of transactions and they aren't reporting it.

Man, this just kills me. Twice now to Winnipeg. Mostly because my freakin' sis-in-law is from Winnipeg and just won't shut up about how great the team is. She doesn't even follow hockey, but she loves her Jets, and there's no arguing with her. And now I have to eat it again!! I think I've jinxed the team when it comes to playing against Winnipeg. Sorry guys.

Flyers couldn't beat this team when they were in Atlanta. Jets have the Flyers number.

Joe Paterno did nothing wrong. He may not have been 100% right, but he wasn't wrong, so he shouldn't be punished. Let it play out and let him speak first. Reading the Grand Jury Report will also help clarify a little bit. I'm not looking for an argument but as a current Penn State student, it has been really crazy here and I'm sick of the media and everyone pointing fingers at Joe Paterno and trashing our university because one man was a sicko.

Thanks for posting this. I'm as big a Penn State fan as I am a Flyers fan and this whole scandal has been gut wrentching for me. I've been saying alot of what the Lawyer Dude said in his blog. The Media is injecting too much subjectivity into this scandal. Lots of people are running their mouths making Paterno look more guilty than Sandusky. It pisses me off that people are not looking at the FACTS but instead are are siding with the media and other speculation.

I just heard they sent Markstrom down. They want him to play on a regular basis.

who do you think is going to be the back-up? Markstrom who is doing well ? or send him to the AHL and have Theodore?

My guess is Markstrom will be sent down. Clemmenson has to go back up to Florida from the conditioning stint because he didn't pass through waivers. I think if they waive him to send him down, someone like Columbus will claim him.

The Blues groomed Payne for this job. He was the head coach for the Alaska Aces and won the Kelley Cup in the 05-06 season. They also won the Brabham Cup (ECHL's President's trophy). He was promoted to Peoria Rivermen as their head coach and eventually moved up to the Blues. They spent a lot of time grooming him to fire him this early in the season.

He's never played more than 35 games.

He played 58 in the USHL but that was before college in '06-07. I think he'll be OK. He isn't getting "Pronger minutes".
