As a Pens fan, I extend a happy Thanksgiving to all hockey fans, especially Flyers and Capitals fan base, from the United States. I hope this message didn't put anyone in a fowl mood?!

Heh, you should (not) see me on the letsgopens forum. In lieu of any exciting end to a flyers season since, well, you know, I would celebrate the end of a season by reading about the Pens crashing out of their playoff race (most years).
When MAF gave those goals up to Montreal in that first round a while back, man, that was some prime-time lurking reading entertainment. You think we panic and get all 'the sky is falling'; that was stuff was *cathartic* to read about.
Anyway, fully hoping a change is in the works here finally, in a lot of ways.
MAF SUCKS! HE WOULD DRIVE ME UP A WALL WITH HIS PLAY!
That Montreal series was fixed. The Penguins opened the 67/68 season with a 2-1 loss to the Habs. How fitting to lose to them in the last game at the Civic Arena!

Who the hell is that color commentator alongside LaPanta tonight??
"Fleury has outplayed Oettinger...he just has given up more goals than Oettinger"
WTF??FLEURY SUCKS!

As more we will argue with fans from other teams as better our team will be in front Fleury to get a historical record in NHL and personally for our club. Hope this will happen soon and will boost our team to a better play and to more wins. Hockey is a team sport. I am sure the Wild staff and some players are reading our forum.
Also, I don't argue with fans of other teams. I rather debate with them!

As a Pens fan, I agree that hockey is a team game. The point I was trying to make is with Fleury in net the team in front of him has be on top of their game.
To be honest with everyone I have called goals that he gave up. (Please watch him shot for shot. You may do the same.) It will take a little time, but watch very closely.

Really. So in your world not good goalies are 2nd all time in wins?
What color is the sky in your world?
I credit the Pens defense for bailing him out when he made the mistakes he made. He made to many to count.

Fair enough since you saw more of him being a Pens fan.
I can't believe tho it's ALL his fault given the loaded talent on the teams all those years. Still a team game.
If it was, Then why did you keep him?
I'd still be happy with about 33% in 9 years or so raising the Cup.I'm not sure why the Pens kept him. Maybe he's French like Mario? A lot of people liked him. IMO he's not a good goalie.

He cost the Pens 1 division title, 1 conference championship and at least 4 trips to the Stanley Cup Finals!
I thank the defense for bailing him out when he made a bad decision. Which,by the way, were to many to count.
When they won thise 3 Cups!

3 Stanley Cups doesn't mean much then?

Fleury played last night and played pretty well. Our team was not too good in front of him. Probably Gustavsson will start tonight.
I'm sorry I have no faith in Fleury. He cost the Pens to much! Much more than what little he did for us!

If Fleury starts will he be able to stop the puck?

Down 1-0 despite outshooting them 7-3. Our 1st was awful. Turnovers, lousy PP. Tortorella needs to kick them big time.
End of 2 Sharks 1-0. Oh no!

Caps after 12 games were 1-11.
The all time record for most losses to start a year which the Sharks have tied is 11, set in 1943-44 by the rangers. No other team has ever went more than 8 games to start a year without a victory. The rangers actually had an excuse, it was the war years and their roster was depleted as players joined the military. Different world.
Yes it was a different world. May have been a better world?
Thanks for the info!

I'm getting ahead of this for betting purposes.
Flyers 1
Sharks 10
You heard it here first.
More news at 11
I would be surprised. It probably would be their only win of the season!

To be honest I think teams know Sullivan schemes and the tendency of Crosby, Malkin and Letang.

Game 24: Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins: 12/2/23 @ 7 PM, NBCSP
in Philadelphia Flyers
Posted
Pittsburgh received a break with San Jose beating New Jersey on the 1st. Put the Pens and Devils in a tie. With a couple lof wins against the Flyers the Pens could move up a few places in the standings. With that said, the will win both games! Pens won't make the playoffs! Here's hoping I'm wrong!
