@Phyler1 How could they not bring him back is the question. The guy is the best player in the world when healthy, and would need to get back into game shape for the playoffs. This actually is the best time to get him into the line up. They need to know if he can go again. I question his health after only a few "symptom free days" though.

Yeah Jagr was pretty tough on the puck tonight. A couple of nice walks across the offensive blueline. Great game by him and Danny. Schenn and JVR looked dangerous at times as well.

Kubina handled the puck fairly well tonight, but he's very slow. Didnt see a whole lot of hitting from him either. Better than Gus or Bourdon though.

The atmosphere is crazy there. Very loud and knowledgable too. Winnipeggers here have a problem with Bryz because of the comments he said about Winnipeg when he still a Coyote. This was my last straw tonight regarding Bryz. Those 2 goals were beyond awful. There was a pretty loud cheer though when Jagr got hat one in OT. A lot of us in the Orange and Black.

I was at the game tonight. The crowd was all over Bryz and rightfully so. He was absolutely terrible. The Byfuglien goal was ridiculous and the Kane goal even worse. He really does need to go. On the positive, we should have scored 10 on Pavelic. We deserved every bit of the 2 points.

@ Adamflyer I agree Suter is not what we need. He is Timonen 10 years ago. Nice player, but Weber is the only guy in my opinion. Wait until July 1 and offer Weber 8 years at 7 mil per. We'll have the room with Carle and Pronger off the books. I beleive anything less than 7.8 per year is 2 firsts, a second and a third?

Good article. I was actually going to post about Giroux and his slump. I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but I think Giroux has scored 8 points in the last 10 games with only two goals. If you minus his first game back with 4 points, he has 4 points in 9 games after his concussion. Is it possible he still has some effects or symptoms, or is he just slumping? I've noticed some small things in his game lately. He doesn't seem to be as tough on the puck along the wall during battles, he loses his center iceman on the backcheck which has produced many goals against, and the most noticeable for me is he has turned gun shy and has reverted to his pass first mentality. I think one of the reasons he was so successful earlier in the season besides his hustle was that he wasn't as predictable to the other teams. He shot alot more and showed he has a wicked and accurate one at that. I think he's trying to do much in the offensive zone( the whole team is being too cute lately) and not enough in the defensive. Keep it simple.

The 3 on 1 goal scored by Karlsson was Bourdon pinching in and getting caught at the blueline. Good no look slick play by Karlsson to put that one in. This weekend was all about horrible turnovers. Bourdon and Lilja being the main offenders. Yesterdays game might force Homer's hand a little because those 2 guys are terrible. Bring back Gus. There's no way he can be worse than either.

Yeah, and it would also put a rest to the Weber/ Yandle rumors too. He needs to be part of the package for one of these two. Notice how Homer downplayed his injuries? I'm sure he's not too happy about his blue chip trade bait being exposed in the media.

If given a choice, I'd take Voracek over JVR in a heartbeat. The kid is tenacious on the backcheck and is showing he's a decent PKer to go along with his offensive talent. I may get grilled for this statement, but I think what we've seen from JVR so far is the real JVR. Above average offensive skills but lacking in heart and effort most of the time. You're right, we can't keep them both, so a trade offer I'd consider at the deadline would be Carle, JVR and 2 first rounders for Weber (provided we can get some sort of guarantee we can sign him). There's no way I pay Carle 4.5- 5 million next year and JVR is definately not worth 4+ mil.

Bourdon probably will get 1-2 games, but what about Leino? He threw an obvious elbow that looked like it barely connected but stunned Read a little bit. The intent was definately there.Even Flyer hater Eddie O on versus felt that should absolutely be a suspenson.

A. They have Walker, Lilja, and Gus to occupy the 5th and 6th spots next year, Hartnell gets resigned, Timo comes off the books, and they have roughly 8.5-10 mil to sign Weber. Which gives us Mezo, Pronger, Coburn, Weber, Gus, and ? ( maybe Walker) for the 2013- 14 season.
