  1. Only posting what is listed on this amazing email I got. Again I don't buy any of it. Just posting parts of it for comedy relief I guess.
  2. I guess. Here is another tid bit. It also says Philly offered a forward and dman. Nashville wants two dmen and a forward.
  3. Ok. My bad it's his uncle. Whatever. Anyways it says, and I'm only picking out the good stuff, after suter left weber wanted out of Nashville. He had a meeting and requested out of town. Now it goods. He requested a trade to three teams. Detroit, Philly, or rangers. All of those teams said they wanted him. So Nashville said go get a contract from whatever team you want. Now for the smoke and mirror part. Weber said Philly is the team. Philly called Nashville with the intent to make offer. To save face of losing two all star dmen same year they asked Philly to make a too large to match offer to look like they tried. The other part of this joke is that since Philly will be trading two players to Nashville to get some space to acquire another forward. That's all being discussed today because apparently Philly vp's flew to Nashville today to work on all of this. Ok I'm done. Never heard anything mentioned above and I'm sure Philly wouldn't fly down there. So I call bs.
  4. I was informed by my one friend who's brother works for the preds. Some sort of office person. Now understand I don't believe a single word what was told to me. But I'll fill you guys in a fee minutes. What to get my email from my friend so I don't miss any details. Lol. Hey we all need a good joke. I'll post shortly.
  5. Nashville has declined to match. Prolly working on trade for our picks back at this point.
  6. Wow. Jackets basically got nothing for Nash. 1st round pick will be a late pick in a weaker draft then this past year. Only lottery picks are gold next draft. Horrible trade. Rangers just got a lot better. A lot! Pretty much shows Nashville is not matching for weber. If g was offer sheeted we know the next hour flyers would have marched. Pretty sure the hold up Is trade negotiations for some picks back to philly. However now with the rangers getting Nash the flyers cannot get rid of voracek unless Ryan or doan is coming in. Rather Ryan.
  7. Flyers are far from done and that scares me a bit. I have one of those feelings we are dealing young players to bring in two players. Doan and weber. The only way I include voracek in any trade would be for Ryan. We have the cap space available to resign everyone on our team and take on weber. I'm sure if we do get weber a dman us being moved however. Although by placing pronger on ltir at beginning of season and sitting schenn for a gm( removing his bonus for 82 gms ) and demoting shelly would free up roughly 7 mil. Voracek can get a 4 mil cap hit and mab would be less then a mil. So it would work I guess.
  8. Well Nash isn't coming over and unless the ducks find their second line center some how without it being our young ones Bobby Ryan isn't coming here either. If the ducks find that center via another team then maybe a mez and voracheck and maybe mab gets Ryan. Doan I don't think wants to come here. And after weber we would have no cap space for him
  9. To be honest I believe Nashville would be a better team with the assests from a trade. Fir example.... Philly doesn't trade jvr. Jvr, voracek, coburn , bourdon a few picks. That fills holes with talented players. However this cba could increase the years needed to reach ufa. So he could be stuck in Nashville for a few more years. That would be awful. Ek would have a weber rumor everyday
  10. The first offers are never in good faith. My offers were never in good faith at first. Very simple. You want 5 you ask for 10. Hopefully you get close to that number when it's all said and done. Fail to budge is on anything is not negotiating in good faith. Normally that's when a binding arbitrator steps in with the approval of both parties.
  11. I've done 20 contracts. No strikes. I've been insulted by offers. It's all positioning. Feeling the other out.
  12. $&$&@&&&$&&&$). Your not suppose to take the first offer!!!!!!! Wtf people. The nhlpa has the biggest bargaining chip and the league knows it. They have to start on that end.
  13. Believe it or not baseball revenue is not even in the same time zone as the NHL. Yes the nhlpa head is in my professional opinion an amazing union head. He isn't about the glory believe it or not. He does his job and says really nothing to the media. It's all buisness. He is not scary at all. He just has the brians to know what he can get and asks for more. There is way to much to lose here on both sides. Owners will be very vocal towards Bettman as this continues.
  14. No problem guys. Radoran it's not comcasts money alone. Put this way. Revenue takes a hit it also hurts income to cable companies. They cannot risk losing this money. Infact the cap ceiling,by my calculations, should increase not decrease. Money is there for profits for teams however bettman ruined it by allowing teams to locate where there is no market. Costing owners millions and millions in revenue sharing.
  15. Yah. I don't see any reason why this won't work. It's odd. Nobody is bringing up the fact the union vetoed the realignment for next year. Isn't it odd that was done and now the cba is due for negotiation. It's all tactic. Union has a huge chip the NHL wants. There is plenty to give on both ends
  16. Your not understanding my point. You cannot offer sheet weber. He will not sign it. Period. End of story. No matter if you give maximum amount. He will not risk the preds matching and keeping him long term. Remember any offer sheet signed and matched by the current team the contract is in effect of however it's written.
  17. I see your concern. Owners want no bonus and 50/50. There are lots of other issues that are in the background . 35 age contracts . Long term contracts. Same salary for each year. Owners will be giving up some of those but let's be clear here. It's the league higher ups who want some changes to salary structure. Not all owners are on board with this. Especially high revenue teams.
  18. From someone who deals with union negotiations this is posturing. Nothing more. If I'm seeking 4 percent pay increase I don't ask for 4 percent at the table. I'll prolly ask for 6 maybe 7. Then they come back with 2 and we neg to a median. Maybe they include a better benefit package to bring me down in salary request. It's negotiation. And this is how it works. The only way this thing goes south is if nhlpa or NHL refuses to compromise on key issues. I fail to see that happening considering there a huge tv deal going into affect next year which the NHL hasn't had in a decade or more. They cannot and will not take the chance on losing that with any work stoppage. The tv deal is contingent on this cba working out or they terminate it. Way to much to lose of a few percentage in revenue. Or a year or two to Ufa. Or eliminating bonus money. All that will be worked out. What i see is a 52/48 player owner split. 10 percent salary roll back. Same with cap and bonus money to stay along with Ufa age increase two years.
  19. Never thought I would have to say this about the wild but.... They have no cap space. Lol
  20. Sry I have to disagree with you here. When I said 6 first round picks I meant it would have to equal that either by players and picks. No way does Schenn plus a prospect plus picks get us weber. No way. Not even close. This isn't ea NHL game. If Rick Nash is going to get a boat load of players for the jackets what do you think weber will get? He is top three in dmen right now. He is a rare bread unlike a forward. You can't offer sheet weber if he is looking to leave the preds so that's not a choice. He would garner from Philly both coots and b Schenn plus cobourn plus picks/ bottom 6 players. I mean if carter got us what we got ,I can't even imagine what the preds will get.
  21. If weber has no intentions in staying in Nashville he will never sign an offer sheet. Nashville will match no matter the offer and he is stuck there. A offer sheet Is pointless. Im guessing your thinking compensation for the offer sheet, right?
  22. Nope. I trade nobody off this team unless their names are shelly, kimmo or briere. Let's face facts this is not a cup contender this year and weber would not change that. A package including both schenn brothers would only be the starting point. If pronger was worth the value of 4 first rounders and not being in his prime I would say weber is worth maybe 6. Like both schenns and coots and coburn and a first or two even. With that deal we would have nothing upfront and not knowing if our goaltending is going to be decent would actually set us back 5-10 years. No thanks. Wait till next years ufa and get perry, weber, or getzlav
  23. I love it! Clear space for next years Ufa class. Getzlav,Cory perry, weber to name a few. Get one of them next year and I'm good! Keep our youth and add next year. Another year of no cup but it should be near if we just allow this team to grow together and not overspend on average players like minny just did
  24. And also keep our young players and try to move contracts next summer or at deadline we don't want and try to free space up. Kimmo and harts come off and would love to move briere as well so we can add one if not both of the ducks ufa's
